Gorgeous watches all around. Tbh I appreciate metal bracelets, but usually prefer straps-with some exceptions. That AP is absolutely beautiful, and the proportions are perfect. Someday…

I'm partial to the open-heart Viewmatic, personally.

If that's a little too exotic, I like the Jazzmaster Thin Line. You could wear this casually, or dress it up.

I'm in a similar boat with the Hulk. In person it's an undeniable beautiful watch, but I probably wouldn't get one just because green is so polarizing. If you are wearing it casually, I think it works; but try and dress it up with a suit, or semi-formal, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Mirin. Had no intention of buying mine or was even interested in one until I saw it in person in the case (back in the good old days of course). Your pic sums it up well. It gets nicer and nicer the more you see it.

Been a while since I last posted, I bought my grail watch, a tudor black bay with the red bezel insert on steel.

I'm looking to buy some alternative straps though, some nato's etc. Anyone got any suggestions?

Not my pic btw, only used for reference.

Dam yall must have copious amounts of disposible income. I love watches but it's almost.impossible for me to justify dropping 8k + on one.

Although the omega aqua tera with the blue accents is my dream watch and I'll probably aim for that since I can get it for 4k used

Think I'm going to finally get around to getting my vintage 1942 Breitling Chronomat fully restored, been far too long. Want to bring it back to its original state.

Watch bros, I need your expertise.

Thoughts on this on a 6" wrist? Case is 44mm. Should I just accept that this watch isn't meant to fit on my girly wrists? Thoughts on the green? Have not tried one on.

See them in person before you buy. The Speedy is completely underwhelming in the flesh.

Probably too big, but you never really know until you go and try it on. You may find it comfortable and think it looks fine.

I'm not a fan of green, but again you really have to see it in person and decide for yourself. Scroll up half a page and this exact discussion just happened about a green Rolex.

The good news is that if you are after a simple diver, there are an endless number of options and price points.

I checked it out in person some months ago at the Omega store.
ofc only the professional, I don't think they would have the reduced since it's out of production now. But back then I wasn't even considering the reduced so never asked.

I do agree it looked different than the pictures. Much more dainty and fine than I imagined. Also looked small for a 42mm. But then I'm used to oversized G-Shocks and dive watches so my perspective is skewed.

brb getting a 404 error everytime i try to post in this thread but not in other thrads..

So I was set on either getting a used Speedmaster Reduced from Japan or a new Speedmaster Pro off of a local (i wont have to pay import taxes then) grey market seller.

Last week logged in almost certain to get the reduced and it was already sold so I was like ok choice already made for me and go to local seller's site and they had increased the price by $300 from what it was the day before.. lol

so back to zero. just for lulz i then checked out a local craigslist type-site, interestingly enough it had a few used speedys. Spotted one in Sydney that looked almost mint, apart from few scratches on the case (seller said he was his daily wear watch). included the massive box that the speedmaster comes in these days as well. PRice was really good as well.
Called up the seller later in the day chatted for a bit about watches. he offered to pay for the shipping/insurance/paypal fees so went ahead and got it.

Only issue is that it's the Sapphire Sandwich version (which is technically costlier than the hesalite). I was originally looking for the regular speedy pro but due to the price and condition of the watch plus it being local decided to just get it.

I think I actually like having the glass back. without a rotor you can see so much more

gotta get some straps nao. Even though i got the nracelet re-sized its not an exact fit to my wrist.. I'll probably go with a rubber or leather strap for daily wear.
While you were partying I studied the Blade.
