What is the fuuking point of that? I don't understand these people, they live in Canada and Trump is the president of the USA. Last time I checked they are two different countries.

I'm visiting Toronto for the first time ever. Stayed downtown at hotel. Couldn't leave today because they shutdown the street for protest.

Lots of people had signs for 15$/hr minimum wage.. they don't even know what they're protesting. I'm going back home west where we don't care.

Sounds about right. Sorry you got caught in the middle of that, I'd demand an extra night for literally being unable to leave the hotel

That's terrible. Sorry you had to go through that. The West is where it's at brah.

This afternoon I could hear them from inside my condo, on the 19th floor too. Super loud chants, coordinated clapping and god knows that. All for a President in a country that they have zero control over. Logic not even once.

I am so fed up and cannot stand living in this city anymore. Seriously. Would love to hear older folks chime in, but for me, Toronto's culture has just been in freefall for a long time. Back in 2009-2010 clubbing was still fun (RIP Circa, RIP Guv). Now that's dead, along with a proper dating scene which doesn't exist anymore.

Liberals ruining everything in this province - hydro, infrastructure, unions, taxes, etc. It has become impossible to start a small business as a young person. When the whole provincial economy relies on real estate and the remnants of a hollowed out manufacturing base, tour will be over soon.

Definitely getting the fuk out after I save up some money for a couple years. My parents worked their asses off for their small business, just to pay taxes to these fatcat government workers that make it harder and harder for the middle class/entrepreneurs. Idiots who don't have an ounce of critical thinking disrupting economic progress. How is a $15 minimum wage gonna help you? LOL like it or not you're getting replaced by robots soon. All of our jobs will be threatened by AI sooner or later anyways. Typical short-sighted people in this city advocating chitty positions that hurt the competitiveness of our great city, while decimating whatever's left of our beautiful culture and heritage.

I'm gonna leave as soon as I can. Life's too short to put up with this mess.

Maybe 25 kilometers outside the city.

Definitely correlated with attractiveness. Assuming a 6/10, probably 20-25km or ~30min driving max.

When I started dating my gf I lived ~24km from her and did most of the driving to and from her area (she was in a bigger town with slightly more to do). I probably would have been willing to go a bit further but not much.

She said she's not really into hookups but has done random hookups before.

Not that desperate btw.

Yeah if a 10/10 I'm driving across borders.

Except I'm in the bigger city and have to drive where she is. I'm making her meet me half way near my office. Kinda like a lunch date, my ass has things to do later.

Ah, in my case our date was the last item on the agenda most of the time. Good move with the halfway meeting.

I think one you talk and get to know the person or something like that. The other one you get to know their body quite well.

Yeah she keeps asking so I'm like "ok let's do this I guess" I'm also kinda seeing someone else but there is nothing official. Might just do one date with this girl and be like "yeah didn't feel anything" and move on. Can't ghost someone.

Probably an hour (maybe a bit more) drive. Where I live, and hours drive would be like 100kms, but in the city its obviously much less.

When I was dating my ex, she lived 2 hrs away and that drive got real annoying fast.
