She seriously had at least 10-12 shows in rotation at all times. It consumed her summers and time after work. Constantly complained about how little time she had because of teaching too. The final straw was when I told her I was going to Germany to visit a friend with or without her and she needed to make an effort if she wanted to go. Trying to push her to do more than just the bare minimum was always treated as a personal attack though. I was the pompous engineer looking down on her for being a lowly teacher. Finally just had enough, still pretty sad about it too because she had a lot about her I really liked that I don't see in a lot women too.

All I will say is, if it bothered you that much once, it'll come back around again.

I'm not getting back with that chick lol. This one is from a loooonnng time ago. It ended terribly for a number of reasons that don't really matter anymore but the relationship itself was great.

oh lol must have misunderstood

Personally, I'm still not an advocate of getting back with an ex for any reason other than to hook up, but that's not to say it doesn't work

stay safe and don't tell her about the project car tho. gotta safeguard your investments unomsaiyan

Haha that's going to be conversation #1. Project car is staying and I don't want to hear chit about what I spend on it lol. Normally I'd advocate the same but dating has just been so fukin miserable the last few years. Just feel like I'm putting in twice the work for 10% of what I had with this chick. Don't really see that ever changing at this point. I'm also not very invested in my feels so if things aren't right, I'm not toughing it out. No real risk as long as I don't marry her anytime soon, which I don't plan on.

What you've been posting is pretty awful, to be frank. It's your life and your decision, but it really sounds you are in for a life of misery. I really couldn't knowingly put myself in your situation, let alone stay there.

What honestly sounds miserable about it? Losing my "freedom" to be some other chick's sperm donor? I think I can handle throwing on some cartoons and standing at a bus stop every now again if it means I can stop going on dates with low value women with little actual interest in me as a person. Worse case scenario things feel wrong and I'm out. It's nothing for me to cut ties and start over.

Not really but I am slowly losing my sanity by doing the same chit over and over, expecting different results. The fact of the matter is I'm just not that attractive to most women physically and otherwise. I can keep play this game for another decade or I can try something new.

You don't even sound the least bit excited at your upcoming life. It's like your going to get ice cream, but the store ran out of all it's ice cream. Which is good for your waste line, but bad for your morale. But if that will save your sanity, have at it.

That's an accurate assessment. IDK over the last 2 years I've really become a lot happier by simply accepting things. Like the fact I'm not a people person. As much as I'd like to be the guy that's the life of the party that simply isn't me. As much as I'd love to find a driven young professional without baggage or baby fever, it's probably not going to happen. It's equally hard on my morale to continue working for something I know isn't going to happen.

In work related news, apparently it's a bad idea to blow away 2/3s of your production data that your developers have spent the last year basing their work around. Who knew? Good thing they just gave me a fat raise …

Good morning. I hope there is a bit o' crab legs fo dinner tonight to go with my steak. How is everyone doing? I turned down my dream job because it was about 10% less than I make right now. Plus it was closer to my house, and I would be able to work from home 1 day a week.
