1. excess costs
2. ****ty advertising
...but twitter has a lot going for it too
1. if it can hack the uncessary expenses it was make a decent wallop of money
2. better advertising on the platform could improve revenue
3. potential for a buyout
Too much is made of user growth.

Twitter is unique in that you can interact with famous people, it's usually the fastest source on any time of big news, users are there.
They're just fukin up the ads, I've never seen anything pop up on my stream that I was remotely interested in.
There's a HUGE falling wedge playing out right now. Technicals and FA reasons are there.
I like Twitter long term at these prices, I just don't have the patience for it to pan out.
Twitter is ****ty for options players, it always pops and fades on any type of big volume.
The times that it doesn't, it runs up huge, but it's tough to stay in those ones because they fade on you the other 9/10 times.
I promised myself not to trade TWTR ever since it leaked earnings and went down 20% before close, but for some reason I can't stay away.

trend is shifting and bullish. just doesn't look like it right now, but by the time it looks bullish you'll already be late.

Most of the stocks in there are look like they're about to break out, I wouldn't be surprised if they ran it on one of the job reports coming out this week.
AA, FCX, AKS, RGLD my favorites out of xme holdings. FCX, XME is where my money is for this play.

Thoughts on the 3 fund portfolio theory? As a passive investor, I think I will just but 3 vanguard funds and just add shares monthly and call it a day. There's a lot of etfs to select though not to mention their all in one funds with those minimum purchase starting at $3000?

I will be interested to see if their "better" results from Q4 2016 are actually maintained going later into this year or how much of it was a one-off from activity relating to the US elections.

Right now the biggest problem at twitter is the CEO. Until he ****s off I suspect the company will remain in the gutter.
If this was ran competently it would have enormous profits. The fact that it isn't run competently is a problem, you control for that risk by limiting your exposure.

Will the market actually go up in the future? I know no one knows. But people are so confident in the lazy 3 portfolio as if it will in fact go up.

In any event it doesn't have to be google, it doesn't have to be anyone. The point about twitter is it isn't just a buyout play, fundamentally there is a very profitable company there but costs needs brought down. There are many ways which twitter can come good.
