Tokyo is amazing, the city the culture everything, I was really impressed. The city is so advanced and clean as fuk which is amazing for a city of 14 million people and this is coming from someone who lives in *****. The chicks are hot and ye they dress really welll.

i found most people friendly too but a couple of people behaved that way too me, i just saw random passers by and tried to ask directions in english and some of them straight up

Why people in Japan ignore you depends on a few things:
-Maybe you were in an area where there are lots of touts, like Nigerians in Kabukicho, so they thought you were one and they just ignored you
-Perhaps you do look middle easterner, that might be part of the reason
-You approached them with english and not many of them know how to speak english because they are too shy or unsure to help you (in English). I'm sure 99% of them study English for about 6 years in school, but its all memorisation and no speaking skills, so they aren't good at it.

I knew a few lines in Japanese, such as asking where to go, so I believed that helped me, and about 99% of people I asked for help actually tried to help me. Though they mostly responded in Japanese and I wouldn't understand 90% of what they are saying, except for some words of direction and their body language

It was mostly in ikebukuro where there are hardly any blacks so that's the problem (I know roppongi is filled with tons of Nigerians) I guess it was because I spoke in English and they're too beta and shy to respond or it coz I look arab lol, Anyway apart from these few bad experiences I had an awesome time in tokyo hopefully I'll go there againthanks for your feedback

idk why anyone would want to go to Ikebukuro. When I went there to visit some shops, I saw hardly any foreigners srs. I saw maybe only 2 in the 2 hours I was there, near the station. It was the most alienating experience ever, even going to the Mcdonalds there near the station

The reason why I was in ikebukuro was because my hotel was there... I did go to shibuya , shinjuku , asakusa etc but I also loved ikebukuro as well.

Your English seems pretty good. Just be confident and speak English(not like you have a choice anyway). I mean if you're an introvert who talks to nobody you'd be in the same situation in any country. Hit up the nightlife on the weekends, make some friends and talk to girls naturally. I have a friend who lived in Japan but he is white. He had at least 3 different gfs at any given time and when he went to clubs women would always try to pick him up. He spoke Japanese nearly fluently too though so that helps a lot.
