The only one of the 3 i'm fairly confident is going to be a great long term play is DKNG. I think the future of sports gambling is going to continue to grow and Draft Kingz is making all the right moves to be top dog. Tesla looks like it is going to get caught by the other big auto makers and probably drop back to like 100 bucks a share. Palantir was admittedly a full on wsb play. I did 0 of my own DD, and was burned for it.

Index investing is really the only way to go for 99% of investors.

LOL, surely you're being sarcastic. If not however, I've been hearing this for months as I watch my position bleed daily.

Crypto is shrouded in mystery. Too many stories of not being able to liquidate, exchanges being hacked, etc. Add to that the fees, and idk man. I went to buy a single ETH coin and it was like $180 dollars to make the transaction. WTF is that?

funny thing is i saw a lot of people posting about pltr on here, thats why i got a position. of course not holding anyone accountable for that, but this is where i heard about it

then i read up on it and watched videos and it seems like a pretty useful company. it has a lot of big contracts globally, so their stuff is obviously good.

but if this is the sentiment now, i cant even fathom what is going to happen post earnings.

Thats where meme money is going.

One thing to keep in mind

Losers average losers.

If you bought Apple last year at $130 around September you be flat now thats 9 months of side action.

Wish I stopped options and just stick in index funds February and stop thinking tech / growth will turn it around some time. Market went inflation hedging and it ain't coming back anytime soon.

Everyone is a genius investor until they aren't. Averaging down is fantastic until it isn't. Index funds are probably what most of us should be holding. Some of us just need longer to figure that out than others

@carbonfibre I had to go through 4-5 positions I've averaged down on and probably would have been better off putting all said money into an index instead of the single stock to come up with 1 stock that actually did better than an index would have done over a similar timeframe.

Just give yourself a time line, ideally end of year, to just leave everything alone, and not even look at your account until December. Maybe set alerts for price targets on some of your holdings, and only log in to trade or whatever you want to do IF/WHEN it triggers.

I can't tell you how much FOMO is kicking in with Crypto. I hate the uncertainty of a potential gov't ban because of the electricity issues, exchanges getting cleaned out, Coinbase and their ridiculously high fees, can i even get on Binance in America? Robinhood preventing people from selling when they want, etc. etc. The entire thing just seems shady and I'm 99% sure the minute I drop a few thousand in, the whole house of cards is going to fall.

Red days suck, watching people get rich off of funny money while i'm sitting by is even worse.

He said buy it at $9 or $10. How many bag holders are there from when he said that? If you chose to buy because someone on a bodybuilding website told you to I got some bad news and some totally legit supplements that will boost your T without injections to sell you.

Great question and I'm far from an expert on the topic. But there is certainly some data to suggest that commodities can help whenunexpectedinflation occurs (e.g. 1970s).

I think a lot of it boils down to one's personal tolerance for volatility, particularly when reaching retirement age. Short-term TIPS tend to be a bit more stable with commodities having a bit higher beta.

I find looking into how to divide allocations once one has reached their wealth goals is a pretty interesting topic. For example, things like gold have successfully been used for protection against inflation, and it surprisingly works very well when combined with other assets even when its own return has been pretty poor. I don't know if I would be so brave as to put 25% into gold myself, butback testingshows how great it has performed historically. Whether or not this will be the same case moving forward is anyone's guess though and I know myself well enough to know I'm more on the risk averse side.

I do have a sizeable amount of BTC that I've accumulated over the years so that also may serve as an inflationary hedge, we just don't have the data currently to know for sure though.

I wasn’t really paying attention, I just recall him pumping it semi-recently, so I wanted to talk some chit.

Rofl no one is selling boyo. Shorts are only thing keeping it down and their floor keeps getting higher. Volume has dried up to nothing, it’s trading within 5 dollars now and within next ten days it will start going up and keep going. But I’m just a dumbass and no one should listen to me tbh.
