I wouldn’t waste your time trying to post anything actually based in reality here. It’s clear that is a lost cause on a good part of this group.

Yeah, there's quite a few negatives going on for oil right now to say the least. I took a $15 loss on CLR last Friday because didn't want to stay in for the ride this week lol.

Think it could get down to 62-63 this week?

I'm not confident enough to say for sure but $64 is a strong possibility.

I was thinking August before $62-63. Think you're right about 64 being a likely possibility.

Market makes me want to throw some cash into BB soon in the $8-9.60 range for a swing trade. Total gamble for the most part, but looks like it may consolidate and run up soon.

Meh. $62 or maybe $64 will probably hold for oil. Even if it drops lower oh well. Unless they push oil back under $50 the companies I’ve got will be fine. I’m sure every single oil company getting ready to cut back exploration/new production costs back to 0. Again that’s fine. Capitalist companies can react to price swings much more efficiently than Middle East governments can.

Consider too that we just pulled out from Afghanistan and are continuing to remove ourselves from the Middle East situation. How long until wells and pipelines in Iraq and other chitholes start getting knocked offline? Saudis are probably freaking out as they realize how tough it’s going to be to secure its borders to protect its oil assets.

That's a good point that never occurred to me.

If the US keeps reducing its policing in the middle east it will only get more volatile until Saudi's or someone else steps up.

Anything $60+ the Canadian boyos are cash flow machines, I'm sure the big guys in US are as well.

There’s strong incentive for them to keep prices reasonably high right now too, a lot of the big producing countries in that part of the world require high $/bbl to support their societies.

Wasn’t too long ago the CEO of Shell was at the Qatar forum saying to expect both $50 and $100/bbl in the near future but to not ask him about the order. Strap in for that volatility!

It means tech goes brrrrrr.

Tech companies valuation is based heavily on future growth.

If they can keep borrowing at discounted rate they have potential to grow at faster rate with lower debt payments.

CNBC and every media blamed it on delta variant market sell off today, its just standard excuse that they copy and paste.

Reality market said phuck value stocks.

ZB caught bid today.

And in case you need proof.

Simply look at arkk charts where dip was bought. went red to green.

shop, net, roku, pton green...even apple , amzn , fb almost came up positive by end of day.

market has seasonality.

retail has zero power in this market. (even on meme stocks)

institutions own this market and can move and sell headlines at will.

also one more thing the draw down today is nothing. nothing even breached 50MA buyers came end of day.

the real sell off that could happen is when fed changes tune either end of August or early September.

Does anyone actually care about this delta thing?

I feel like momentum has just weakened near the top of this knoll and traders are profit taking. We're not going to have another panic lockdown. We might get some more gay restrictions on freedom but I highly doubt it's going to be "round 2, everyone go back inside unless you're a grocery store worker".

England just announced they're going full open despite 'delta' surge, Ontario is now almost full open and 90% of our cases are 'delta' and the US is full steam ahead. Seems like the media is trying their damndest to make 'delta' the fear d'jour but nobody is taking the bait.

Yea honestly it just seems like big pharma trying to capitalize. COVID services in healthcare are really lulling lately and even expiring
