the blue is far more versatile and attractive of a watch in my opinion. not even a question of selling the other one.

I know that sounds foolish and materialistic, but i've learned my lesson from Oris. Great build quality and finishing. I've had a few guys stare down the watch at cocktail bars and stuff then ask me what it is because the build quality is so nice. Unfortunately, the brand name carries fukall and for my next watch that's a box i want ticked. "Bargain Rolex" is not a category i wish to be placed in no matter how cool i think the Black Bay Bronze is.

Picked it up for a steal right around $1500. love the satin ring that the hour indices sit on. looks really cool in direct light

Just googled that. Wowww well in this sense that’s a direct drag drop of the submariner with a logo and hands change.

chit, compared to the Pelagos the black bay looks like it’s own separate thing which I’d be fine with.

No kidding. Blue is my color, so naturally I love that watch. But then saw the size and add the "oh you couldn't afford a rolex?" factor.

Check out Lumtec watches. I don't have any personal experience with them, but they have a pretty decent following.

definitely merlin this, long time seiko fan. This one seems like it's a bit difficult to acquire. Might be on the waiting list for this one

Juicy collection. Especially mirin Speedy and Hulk, as well as your latest AP. For variety, I'd throw in an IWC big pilot, a Submariner (or Fifty Fathoms), a perpetual calendar of some sort (AL&S/PP/JLC/etc), and maybe a nice Calatrava or Patrimony for super dressy occasions. What an expensive hobby. Though tbh i'd probably be happy with one good FP Journe for the rest of my life

I tried a nato strap once. that hump they add to the wristshot where you have to fold the strap under drives me NUTS.

In today's edition of "I wouldn't buy it, but i'd totally wear it" I bring you the Cartier Santos 100 XL. Never had one on wrist but if it looks closer to 40ml than 36ml visually (probably doesn't) I would rock the hell out of this.

I dig the overall aesthetic. But definitely get annoyed at some of them where it doesn't completely fold long enough to go under both metal hoops.

Perhaps unpopular opinion, but I think Panerai are fuking hideous and have NO idea why there was ever hype for the brand. They look like borderline costume jewelery.

I recall their story being something involving the italian military or whatever, and i'm assuming interest was driven by an overly cool backstory. Certainly couldn't have been from the aesthetic.
