Must be like drinking in NYC. I'll go to a brewery, but bars are a no go due to the price.
It was last time I was there I asked for an Old Fashioned. Bartender asked me "rye or bourbon" I responded with bourbon then he listed off a bunch of bourbons they had, if I wanted to know how a certain bourbon was for the drink, etc.

Forgot what I got but cost me a few bucks extra but it was worth it. Wasn't your generic bar liquor it was actually made well so I didn't mind the cost. Also at a place like that I'm not there to slam as many in me as possible. Make the drink last.

Do it man. Get all of your friends. I'm currently mobilizing a lot of downtown kids, many of whom haven't taken notice that Wynne is throwing our future into the gutter.

My grandparents lived through the tyranny of Mao. My dad was this close to taking a train to Beijing's Tiananmen protests in 1989, but my mom convinced him not to (dat foresight). My upbringing provides all the fuel for me to get involved in politics here. These liberals have gone too far running our economy into the dumps. Time to take back our province.

I know what you mean. Once you get used to skipping breakfast, it's pretty easy. I haven't eaten yet today and I did a 40 minute workout on the stationary bike… and I'm not starving but just a bit hungry. I know what you mean though how you struggle getting your calories in at night time. Sometimes I have a huge dinner and get really full, and I still have a couple hundred cals left over.

It's the state-approved education man. SAD!

I had to re-wire my brain through books, talk shows and podcasts starting at the end of HS. So thankfully I was saved. The millenials that don't think about their media consumption, they're goners.

Damn that's intense. My parents had to put up with apartheid-era South Africa which was pretty fukked up too.

Well, if Trump can win by appealing to those who don't live in the major cities I'm sure someone from the Conservatives can pull it off.

Only time I ever watch the major news stations for political reasons is during election days/nights to track results. I never listen to the commentary.

I've always been more focused on candidates and never plead allegiance to a party. I was worried Harper would be a Bush clone, was thankfully proven wrong, and I thought he did a good job during his time as PM. I wasn't really sold on JT taking over but was willing to give him a chance for the sake of change, although he's starting to piss me off.

So I was seeing a girl, at least I thought I was. We've both been busy lately finally I'm free and says lets do something it's been a while. Then I get "well I'm seeing someone now. I didn't know what your intentions were." ok WTF. So after some back and forth we realize never talked about relationship status. I never brought it up and she was too nervous to, I just assumed we were after going out a few times from what she mentioned. I don't think the constant talking and what not was a sign.

Bottom line, women are confusing, I guess I'm officially single or at least have been for a while. So fuuk me, forever along crew.

Honestly I think Americans in general are just more well-versed in critical thinking. With the whole yearning for freedom and distrust of big government since the founding fathers, there's a cultural of individualism that tends to make men or women more interesting.

I see this comparison hold true among the investment community all the time - the average upper-middle class Canadian don't really have a strong opinion on their portfolio or certain stocks. They're content with following the crowd or whatever their wealth manager tell them. Whereas the American equivalent will blast their opinions on various forums and stock discussion websites. Super bold with conviction.

Back to the women: American women tend to be more open with their sexuality, whereas Toronto women have a harder time with this. Probably the deep-rooted Puritanism still lingering, along w/ traditional immigrant values still in their minds after moving to T.O

Since I'm still poor and working hard, T.O's casual dating scene is alright for now. If I'm looking towards settling down, then it'd be rough lol

I find being blunt works wonders in avoiding misunderstandings, tho.

Depends who they are and where in America they're from.

I've met some very sexually open women in Toronto. Had some really good times in that city.

Yeah, bruv. I try to catch the York-Eglinton International Street Festival whenever I get the chace. Food, drink and people are always incredible.

Well the last time we went out her friends were bugging her via text to see how her date was going after she said that she mentioned to them she was seeing someone now.

To me that sounds pretty clear in how it wasn't just a date. I brought that up in our talking and she hasn't responded to that yet among other things.
