Interesting, I thought they both had same magnification. My thought was that the 640 has about twice the resolution so the picture is twice as clear. But the difference in optical magnification complicates things.

The 640 on 1.5x digital zoom (I know it can’t exactly do 1.5) puts it at 3x total zoom with 426x341 resolution. So about 32% greater sensor performance. I personally don’t use the 384 in 24x because it is so pixelated (you’re basically looking at a cropped 48x36 image) and aren’t getting much visual data. It’s only useful for precision bench shooting like lining up the crosshair on a target, but for identifying different animals apart at 1000 yards that might be pushing it. Seeing a white shape is definitely doable though.

tbf all their suppressors are OOS so probably figure no need to have adapters in stock

A guy I know works on swat for the feds. They got 200 Sigs P365 with the Romeo Red Dot. 40 of them cracked the screens when shooting. Sig said it was a bad batch and replaced them.

LOL at Sig, They can't get anything done right

I've decided my next gun, AK of piss.
Something about the red dot near the front of it like below is HNNGGG

Looking at PSA GF5's, thoughts on them? Seems to have good reviews. And not trying to go all out like I did on my AR on this one. Just something decent.

I had a good experience with Aero cs. Maybe they don't know because it's relatively new (making excuses because I like them in general but I'd be livid)

I'd try contacting silencershop. They normally stock them (oos atm) but ask them what you can use instead. Surely they will know.

I guess I should order another case of HST. I don't really trust the case of Ranger 147g I picked up cheap during Covid.

I ordered a complete .308 upper and compete .308 lower from them. Will not cycle. Gunsmith said it was a gas block issue and to warranty it. They fought me because it was a "home build" since the two parts were sold separately. They finally agreed to look at it. Sent it back "could not replicate". Would not cycle when I tried again. Straight trash service.

When x39 got expensive I stopped being interested in AKs, but from what I remember either is a good choice. I wanted a WASR.

EDIT: damb I just looked on AmmoSeek and any decent x39 is at least 50 CPR fuuuuk
