25 yards is a pretty long shot for self defense. You're gtg

Looking at PSA GF5's, thoughts on them? Seems to have good reviews. And not trying to go all out like I did on my AR on this one. Just something decent.

The reason to buy an AK has always been cheap ammo.

While Russia is winning in Ukraine, the war has no end in sight, and sanctions will assuredly remain on Russia after its conclusion.

We will likely never see x39 be more affordable than 5.56 again.

Excellent decision

For entry level
Look into, WASR, Zastava M70, WBP

Little bit nicer
Look into FB Radom, Arsenal

i dont have any defensive 9mm ammo, but i do have some hydra shok .45 ACP. 00 buck for the shotguns, 123 grain fmj for the AK and 55 grain m193 for the ARs.

i can confirm, WASR10 is a good choice, although the wood furniture on more recent models will probably have to be upgraded. i really like the arsenal sam7r, and ive got a few saigas too, but those arent easily obtainable anymore.

Half my recent ammo purchase just came. It’s a case in a sealed box.

What’s your go-to method for long term storage? I have a couple mil 50cal metal cans with seal from harbor freight etc I’ve been using.

I can fit exactly 1000rds of 9mm still in the 50ct box if I cram them in there just right.

Anyone has experience with LARUE TACTICAL PREDATOBR RIFLE 16.1" 5.56 ?

I like how it can be broken down quick and LaRue is know for their quality.

I’ve been holding off for a KAC upper but availability is tough and not really wanting to build one…rather purchase fully assembled.

In the market for top of the line 556. Don’t really want another DD…hence the KAC, LaRue I’m eyeing. Suggestions in 16”?

Range I go to has a sporting clays course. Some of the stages are brutal. I've only done it a few times, I need to get on it more often. So much to do and so little time.

I have a 16" Larue Ultimate Upper on home built psa lower that had been good for me. I'm not a good hard use reference, but I haven't found anything to complain about with it.

I used to have this awesome sporting clay course in the foothills I loved in CA. Totally isolated and quiet. Bought a Browning Citori 525 to get serious about it. Then we moved to Austin and the only clay range is run by liberals who are way too uptight.

Honestly clays are like the perfect combo of shooting and golf. Nice walk in the woods to clear your head.
