Honestly clays are like the perfect combo of shooting and golf. Nice walk in the woods to clear your head.
Just get your own clay thrower and a battery. The clays are dirt cheap

Range day tomorrow boyos. Fridays are for no work and poppin glocks. Gotta get my laser sighted in

Need some more time with the HST’s too bc they shot like garbage (for my standards) last weekend. Lots of blazer fmj to shoot too.

All my ammo came in. Over 7 50cal cans filled to the brim.

Very good trigger for the cost. I prefer it to some of the much more expensive ones I've tried.

The Tango Down trigger is very nice too. But having to use the oem trigger bar is an extra step that was annoying.

Can someone explain to me why people run subsonic .308 blk setups when PCC's exist?

If you're only getting 1000fps out of your rifle, why not just use 147g 9mm in a PCC? Ammo is way cheaper and more available, and there's way more premium defensive ammo to pick from.

only reason I can think is the option to send 147 gr at 2000+ fps out of 8" barrel. idk why you'd do that over 300blk though. Saw a vid on it and there was some reasoning behind it but I don't remember. Sounds dumb to me. Heavier, blastier, etc.

Yeah, I sort of grasp the full power .300 blk concept as logical. But most the guys I see want to run subsonic with a can. Just seems inefficient in that config compared to basically a million other options.

If I knew of an AR-9 that I thought would run flawlessly, I'd consider it. A few years ago when I looked, everyone still said they had reliability issues.

I love the stuff for IDPA. I can't sweep brass there anyway, and the stuff is probably barely the minimum PF

Put in some more G19 work last weekend and have gotten very accurate out to 25 yrds with the Blazer 124g FMJ

Have found HST to be less accurate.

General question to this instance…..but really all guns/calibers you own:

Do you guys usually just sight in your pistols with the FMJ/range ammo…..figuring if you need to use HST it will be close enough anyway to get the job done (you figure 25yrs and closer here)….or are you sighting in with you defense ammo?

What I've been doing:

9mm sighted in with FMJ
300 blk sighted in with defense/hunting ammo
556 will be sighted in with defense ammo

They were Norma somethings. I've decided to make that gun lighter with a different scope mount and directly threading the can.

How far does your point of impact move with HST vs FMJ at defensive range? You're not likely to be taking 25 yard head shots with your Glock.

As long as it's 124gr, I've never seen an ammo far enough at 10 yards for me to worry.
