I just joined the misc after getting into the gym as I approach my last semester at Uni. I am very active in the photography community (not the misc yet due to the limit number of posts prior to being able to post any images on the forum). I currently shoot with a Canon 6D, Canon 16-35 2.8L II, Sigma 50mm 1.4 (non Art), and use a Manfrotto 190 tripod with some ball head by manfrotto (newer "pro" model).

I shoot mostly Urban Exploring (not your stereotypical Urbex Brah "hence my forum name"). I just take photos and thats it…no defacing property…no stealing…none of that crap. Once I reach the post limit, I will show you all my work

Its good to see a community of photographers inside a community of fitness oriented people. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!!

Heh, I only just found this thread. Here's what I did with my camera - take from it what you will.

I bought my camera with just the kit lens. Then I went out and took a buttload of pictures. When I started feeling like I couldn't get enough sharpness or that I needed better IQ from my lens, that's when I went and bought what was known as the sharpest prime for my camera, while keeping it sorta cheap.

Here's a neat tip:
Go to 500px, and sort pictures by camera, then by lens. Choose the same body and glass that you're looking at, and compare them with the body and prime that you'd possibly get.
Do you see a large difference? Do you think you'll be happy working towards the quality that the kit lens pictures exhibit?
Hopefully that'll help tip the scales for you.

This might be a long shot but I wonder if you guys have any ideas for me. I just bought a telescope and need help with what eyepieces to buy. I am not into Astrophotography yet, I just need a better setup. I bought a Nexstar 8SE and budget for eyepieces/lenses would be about $400 bucks.

This was a simple google search that I'm assuming you already have done?

Great shot Adam. I think I'd still prefer the pano approach. Less distortion than an ultra wide.

Too much frauding going on so it's a good thing.

Photographers have also become lazy at the point of capture.

Good choice! I have the d7000 and am very satisfied with it! I use the 35mm f/1.8 dx most often on this body. What do you want to shoot?

I just got this same kit a few months ago. You're going to love the D750, I switched from Canon to the D750 and got up and going pretty quickly. It wasn't a horrible transition to the new layout. There are a few setup guides on the internet that helped me figure the menus out. The 24-120 is a pretty decent lens, the VR is good and it's sharp enough. There's some barrel distortion and a lot of vignetting at 24mm wide open but it's easy enough to get rid of in Lightroom. Good choice!!

Sorry for the double post ITT, but I'm looking for a new camera bag, does anyone here have any suggestions? They would really be appreciated. I have a 1 DSLR body, 2 zoom lenses (kit 24-120 + ultrawide), two smaller primes along with two small point and shoots (Canon S100 and g9x), plus batteries, chargers, filters for each. I'm looking for something that's durable and will hold up through airport security, that has pretty good access to all of my gear.

What is easier to access? A shoulder bag, backpack or sling bag?

What brands should I look at? Lowepro?

Will rep for suggestions, thank you in advance

Go with ThinkTank. I have the ThinkTank Hard Drive bag. Absolutely love it!! Actually got it for my recent trip to Italy. Sold my Tamrac bag for the same price the ThinkTank bag cost me (planned on returning the ThinkTank bag when I got back). It is amazing!!

Thanks man. So far it's doing just fine. Took it to my 8 year old's birthday bowling thing last weekend and it did well. Still learning where to look for what information during shots though, so it takes a little longer to actually get the shot. I just need to shoot more.

Hey guys. Not sure if this is allowed.

Looking for a camera, hopefully within $1000 for a kit (can slightly higher if needed). Looking to do Real Estate/Architecture Photography, possibly some Videography (car meets/travel) and some landscape/portrait work.

Mirrorless are obviously going to be easier to travel with but I've heard they have a hard time in low light environments, which often Real Estate can be.

Wondering what my best option is, open to any suggestions. The main focus is definitely going to be Real Estate photography.
