D has looked alright, minus some starters tonight so harder to judge. Wish they could hit home on some sacks and have gotten off the field on that drive but oh well.

I'm not one to exaggerate over preseason performances. I think preseason is really overrated.

However, I just can't watch Kaepernick and think he's ever going to be anything close to what he once was. I was rooting for him to win this job, I truly was. But it's not happening. It's pretty corny, but he reminds me of a magician that has no new tricks and all of his old tricks have been exposed. Everyone in the crowd is just watching and calling out what he's doing when he thinks he's still fooling them.

I don't even know what that means but it sounds right lol

Yeah it's kind of sad because a part of me thought maybe the new offense and new coaching staff would see him take the job but he just doesn't look confident out there and still feeling pressure which isn't there.

You could say maybe he's rusty or maybe he knows the importance of this game for him and is pressing too much but he's just off and one thing he did well was play big in big moments. This is a big moment for him and he's not getting it done. Certainly doesn't help when the defense is batting down passes but he just doesn't look the way he did even that first season as a starter and you figure at this point he should be much better.

A 49ers fan doesn't actively root for the starting QB to fail just because he's got a thing for one ****ing player.

Alex Smith turned out to be better than Kaepernick due to one thing only…his head. But let's not pretend Alex is Tom Brady.

And you can't be both. If you want to come back in here and actually talk about 49ers football that's fine but nearly every single one of your posts was the same trolling chit about Kap sucking and basically bringing it back to the Smith trade.

We may be saying Kap sucks but none of us were enjoying seeing him fail or rooting for him to fail like you were.

Pretty underwhelmed with tonight's performance for the supposedly most important preseason game.

Biggest Positives: Starting OL, Hyde, Mike Davis, Marcus Rush still getting sacks

Everything else was pretty meh.

Just want final roster and first game to get here.

I liked what I saw out of Driskel. He wasn't helped by the guys around him. Two big plays taken away by drops, few penalties and poor protection by the usual suspects. I hope we don't try to sneak him onto the PS cuz it's risky and I'd hate to see another team snatch him up.

Definitely a tough game to watch only cuz the defense simply couldn't get off the field and the offense couldn't stay on there.

Forgot to mention the whole Kap not standing up for the national anthem…I was going to mention earlier how annoyed I was getting with him doing the black lives matter/white man controls everything BS.

Not a good ****ing look at all. Stand the fuk up and support the country even if you want to get all political and pro black panthers. Dude brought up in an all white family and acts like he's being held down.
