This is the Henry I have in mind. Would mount with a 1-4x using the Vortex one-piece mount.

Nice I have this one
https://www.tombstonetactical.com/ca...ck-matte-blue/

- I like the bigger loop lever. Triggers are pretty good on them. I bought the .44 then bought a .22 blued Henry its fun to shoot them. Hard to explain.

Be a lot cooler with a flip up rear sight.

https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...prod18599.aspx

Have to find the right one for the gun but, they don't really need a scope. Effective range is not much past 100 yards, and the adjustable sights will let you really shoot a lot farther than a scope because your basically firing it like an artillery piece to get out to 200-300. The ballistic curve is pretty sharp.

Oh well, he's smart and obedient and protectecive of the kids / house. Hope the digging the yard up, eating weird stiff, and being a 75lb maniac end in a few months. Turns 1 end of the Jan.
The results for my pupper were all over the place too, and I'm now convinced it was b.s. I took my pup to the vet's yesterday for a check up and one of the vet techs there said, "Oh you've got a Carolina Dog." I'd never heard of that before but googled when I got him. Pretty much an American dingo from what I've been reading. First pic is my pup, 2 Carolina Dog pics after.

cool dog, doesn't get into much trouble beyond digging in the backyard but it's frozen hard for the next 3 months so maybe he'll grow out of it. he's 7 months old.

Glad they ditched the old rails. Sorry Samson fanboys but their rails are fuking AIDS.

Keep saying I want to buy a RPR, but I’m not sure I’m ready to spend the $900 on the rifle then probably at least that much on the scope... For something I’ll probably shoot once a year.

Most custom bolt rifles will run at least $3500-$4000. AI’s and DTA’s can go from $4800-$8000. Most people would be fine with an RPR or a Tikka for $1k.

$1000.00 sounds about right for what id be willing to pay. been meaning to get something large in bolt pattern, either 7mag or 300 win mag.

.243 or 6.5 would be fun too. only problem is i will have exactly 0 dollars available for gun purchases for at least two years.

splurging is probably not a good idea, unless maybe if there is a likely ban and theres something you absolutely need. it was actually that mentality that led to many purchases when still in kommiefornia.

7mag or 300 win mag would be for hunting. ive still got alot of research to do on it before i actually get into it though. i have a bolt action 30-06, but it seems like something more powerful couldnt hurt

im looking forward to putting planning into it, going up into the mountains with my WASR and stalking trails. even if i cant hunt because its not rifle season, still see if i can creep up on deer.

Got the 1000 rounds of 45 today and filled out the paper work for the FFL transfer...stupid ass IL law saying the 72 hour waiting period starts when the purchase is made, but have to go in to fill out the background check info so really you're going to wait regardless, sucks seeing your gun you paid for a week ago and not actually being able to go home with it.

Guy said this week they've done 3 FNX 45 tactical transfers (one from the same shop I got mine) and asked what kind of deals were running, his jaw dropped when I said I paid just over $800 shipped
