- I like the bigger loop lever. Triggers are pretty good on them. I bought the .44 then bought a .22 blued Henry its fun to shoot them. Hard to explain.
Be a lot cooler with a flip up rear sight
.https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...prod18599.aspx
Have to find the right one for the gun but, they don't really need a scope. Effective range is not much past 100 yards, and the adjustable sights will let you really shoot a lot farther than a scope because your basically firing it like an artillery piece to get out to 200-300
. The ballistic curve is pretty sharp.

cool dog, doesn't get into much trouble beyond digging in the backyard but it's frozen hard for the next 3 months so maybe he'll grow out of it. he's 7 months old.

Keep saying I want to buy a RPR, but I’m not sure I’m ready to spend the $900 on the rifle then probably at least that much on the scope... For something I’ll probably shoot once a year.

Admittedly the RPR is probably a more capable gun than I am shooter.

Most custom bolt rifles will run at least $3500-$4000. AI’s and DTA’s can go from $4800-$8000. Most people would be fine with an RPR or a Tikka for $1k.

7mag or 300 win mag would be for hunting. ive still got alot of research to do on it before i actually get into it though. i have a bolt action 30-06, but it seems like something more powerful couldnt hurt
im looking forward to putting planning into it, going up into the mountains with my WASR and stalking trails. even if i cant hunt because its not rifle season, still see if i can creep up on deer.

Got the 1000 rounds of 45 today and filled out the paper work for the FFL transfer...stupid ass IL law saying the 72 hour waiting period starts when the purchase is made, but have to go in to fill out the background check info so really you're going to wait regardless, sucks seeing your gun you paid for a week ago and not actually being able to go home with it.
Guy said this week they've done 3 FNX 45 tactical transfers (one from the same shop I got mine) and asked what kind of deals were running, his jaw dropped when I said I paid just over $800 shipped
