Say what you will but Jimmy comes through at the end of the game.

49ers showing they can win when neither side of the ball plays well. 15 games in the season and no one has dominated them. Feels good man.

Some of you guys really need to calm down about Jimmy. Was far from a great game but at least wait to see the all22 tape to see what the issues are.

I recall people bitching about him throwing into coverage and getting picked. I remember people bitching about him fumbling the ball.

He needs to do a better job of throwing the ball away without taking a sack but I’m not going to pretend he should be throwing the ball to guys without seeing who if anyone is actually open. Also two new starts on OL in this game including the Center which is clearly fuking us over. How many chit snaps in key moments did he have?

I’m more concerned about our defense right now. Pass rush is gone, Bosa is tired and playing too many snaps. Nobody else outside of Armstead on the DL seems to be making an impact, unfortunately that includes Buckner.

Seattle is a house of horrors for us but let’s see how they look tomorrow and who is playing next week.

Our offense SHOULD be much better in this game but we’ll see if Clowney plays against us. The defense is where we have to figure chit out. Hopefully Tartt can play but doubt Ford will.

Need the W obviously. Have to find a way to get it done. Ugly, pretty or whatever. Just get the W and the #1 seed.

Wow, what a stressful game. A win is a win, but damn that was ugly

Jimmy G made those 2 big passes when it mattered but that's going to be too little too late against playoff teams. He held the ball way too much, made some really bad throws, he just had a bad game overall

Defense had some massive gaps and pass rush was non-existent for 75% of the game. If Goff did this to us scrambling imagine how bad it's going to be against MVP Wilson

Super happy we won but these things need to be addressed by next week

Hoping and praying Cardinals pull off a big upset tomorrow

That fist pick looked way worse at first. On replay it’s a great play by Ramsey. Jimmy throws to Sanders but Ramsey reads his eyes and break off his guy. Smart play by a DB. Witherspoon on the other hand had a similar situation and was too late.

His biggest issue in this game was holding the ball too long but as I said, have to check the tape to see if it was a smart move(if you’re not gonna throw it away)

Arizona winning changes nothing about our game. Honestly I’d rather Seattle win because it would just piss me off more about blowing the Atlanta game if Seattle lost to Zona since it would’ve meant we’d clinch #1 seed tomorrow and could’ve rested guys vs Seattle next week.

If Seattle wins/loses at this point it’s still all about next week for us. Really Seattle losing only helps Packers/Saints since it would eliminate Seattle from a chance at being #1 seed I think.

If rather at least see him scramble, throw the ball at a receiver's feet, anything other than obviously throwing a pick

I think you're giving him way too much credit. Apart from the last 2 big throws, what did he do well tonight?

Jimmy is too hot and cold. I like that he stepped up at the end and made the couple of clutch throws to put us in a position to win but the rest of the game he was awful on majority of his throws over 5 yards. Underthrowing receivers, eyeing receivers, picks galore. Very innacurate.. I know its his first year back but we're at week 16 now. I don't mind him taking the sacks but you could tell he was not comfortable in the pocket tonight. He was hearing those footsteps.

Seems like he peaked for the Aints game and his last two games have been subpar. Hopefully he snaps out of it next week.

A win is a win, I don't think Jimmy played bad, he didn't play great, he did good enough to win, that's all I can ask. I think the OL didn't do him any favors and neither did Shanny with the play calling. We did not run the ball nearly enough IMO in the second half, let alone the whole game. Forced us into some tough spots and we still won. His picks weren't good but they weren't the worst you've seen QBs throw either, and the Rams have a good enough defense to make plays.

I did not like seeing the lack of pressure again, I did not like seeing the team abused on bootlegs, and I hated Witherspoon's performance. Play Mosely if Spoon is gonna give us that level of play. The bootlegs need to be addressed the back side guy needs to take a better angle (higher up the field) to cut that play off immediately, its so simple and will solve that problem on the backside bootleg rollouts. The fact they didn't do this at all was bad. Harris dropping that near pick at the end was bad but realistically in this game they made enough plays to win, it wasn't pretty but they won. It's hard to watch knowing the potential of the defense but that's why we need to get the 1 seed to get healthy, its the most important thing for this team to win, we know some guys aren't coming back but we need as many as we can get starting wise.

Saleh and Shanahan need to do better to help the team succeed right now, I don't feel they are elevating us. Early in the year the talent was elevating the coaches and the coaches were elevating the talent. Now the talent is less and the coaches are compensating. The players are doing well, but I feel can do better.

Either way we gotta get 1 more win to get the 1 seed and if any team can go do it it's this one. One more win and we got time to heal up and play at home in the playoffs. Let's go!

He's been under more pressure overall, I don't blame him for that and the results of it. Look at the plays he has time he delivers great throws. Just like most QBs. The drive at the end where he had prolly the most time tonight he hit Kittle on the first play in stride off play action and I was thinking damn if only he had that much time to throw each play. Early on the year he was getting very little pressure and getting it out quick but working out some rust and getting himself acclimated (still making rookie mistakes). Then he started to play better throwing wise and making less bonehead plays but as of late the plays he turns it over haven't been as bad IMO. I think he gets the job done, look at the final drive tonight, I'll take that and two picks if we get the W. This wasn't some easy game that he messed up a bunch its a division (2nd time playing) game against a team with their season on the line. With the play calling and protection I thought he did ok, could he have done better yeah, but it could have been a lot worse too I feel. The kid wins and thats what I want.

Talk about a heart attack….

Jimmy can get some blame but I honestly think I put more blame on Kyle. Sometime his play calling is amazing and then sometimes makes you scratch your head. Sure jimmy will make dumb throw a game ext…. it Kyle needs to put his team in better positions to win.

More importantly the defense is not playing by great at all. Pass rush is not there anymore.

Not a great game by our offense and Jimmy but holy fuk the elephant in the room is our pass rush. It disappeared. Are Ford, Jones and Alexander really that important? Buckner has been almost invisible.

He made plenty of decent throws and the TD to Kittle was huge. I’m not saying he was playing great but you’re completely overreacting to his play again because the numbers weren’t great.

Two picks. One bouncing off the WR up in the air again. How many have we had this year? I’d say at least 6.

He’s still a young starter and has room to grow. The fact that he’s not folding in pressure moments is big. The idea that he sucks is stupid and wrong. There is a middle ground between being garbage and being elite and there is a lot of room in that middle ground.

Jimmy has to work on things and he will but right now this is what we get. Pass protection being poor will not give us a QB who can play great regardless of that.

I don’t want Jimmy running that much. I want him to stay healthy. He used his legs once and got a big first down. At least look at the game in detail before saying he should’ve done this or that.

Yes he needs to learn to throw the ball away more but Aaron Rodgers has made a career of eating sacks vs throwing the ball away or taking his checkdowns more often than not. Rams looked to double Kittle who is Jimmy’s security blanket when pressure comes. We adjusted a bit with screens but when we weren’t calling those it wasn’t pretty.

Thankfully he got it done in the end. We’ll have a lot of things to clean up if we want to beat Seattle at their house.

I want to go back and see how many PA passes we actually ran in this game. Seemed like early on every PA the Rams were right on top of Jimmy messing up the play. We hit a few but maybe I’m misremembering it but we definitely were flat in the passing game and have to do better.

Buckner needs to step up big time. He’s been totally invisible I feel like Solomon Thomas had more impact in this game than Buckner. Can’t have that. He needs to step up starting next week.

DJ Jones loss was big. He was turning into a stud inside. Ford is the biggest loss though. His speed off the edge was huge. It’s also Blair and Moore getting hurt which killed us. Totally sapped our edge depth. It looked like we were trying to give Nick some snaps off today to save him for later but he’s been playing a ton of snaps. He’s still playing well but he’s clearly tired. Week 4 bye and the loss of depth to keep guys fresh has been a total killer for us.

Pass rush definitely needs to wake up if we want to make a run. Right now this defense is simply not very scary.

I thought Buckner would feast with Bosa on the edge but its been Armstead. Him and Bosa are playing lights out. I sure hope Ford comes back healthy enough to make an impact. Wonder if Buckner has some kind of injury or something? He has been invisible lately.

M. Harris has been getting better it seems too.

Also i dont blame Jimmy for that first int. That was just a heads up play by Ramsey. My only gripe with Jimmy is he is holding on to the ball too long. Sometimes it works but sometimes it bites him in the ass.

I will pass on the tired JG discussion.

As for Buckner, yea, like I posted last week, I’m very interested to see how this contract negotiation goes. Part of me thinks he must be playing with an injury.

Oline did not play well at all. Offense pieced some things together, enough to win. I still can’t believe Breida gets zero snaps.

Spoon is back to last years spoon. What a god awful game he played…he was terrible.

Not sure if anything is wrong with Buckner or what but would be nice to see some impact plays from him. I was mind blown at no snaps for Breida too, and as for Spoon if he plays like that we need to play E Mosely.

Overall I can enjoy this win and know that if we get one more we got the 1 seed. Can't wait til next Sunday but at least I can go through this week without a sour taste like last week after the Falcons loss. All in all that game won't matter but it sucks losing.

This team was looking like they were finding a way to lose against ATL, something they did a lot last few years and last night we almost did it again. Glad they made plays and got the job done, I know they can do it it's just a matter of will they.

A couple of observations….
1. The Rams had lots to play for ,having been in the SB last year, and brought their A game to Santa Clara last night. Don't forget that they came to play and DID… against our team.
2. Jimmy brought his B-/C game but it was enough to put them in position with 2:30 left and the pass in the middle of the field with Blitz coming was pretty.
3. The defense vanished, we are average now, so we better keep scoring.
4. A win is a win, but i feel like we are a round 2 playoff defeat if we can't regain the form of mid season, fast!
5. I am still a very happy 49er fan given all of the issues of the last 3-4 years.

I'm not gonna get into the JG discussion either. I think he played subpar, I don't think he can play like that this next month and us get to the SB

I'm more worried about the defense and the fact that our pass rush is non-existent now

Ok that is fair, just give him a letter grade A+ to F?

Last night was my first night game that I have gone too. It was super fun. Seeing E-40 was pretty cooL too. My dad almost ****ed up, well actually he did. To get our tickets I ended being on the phone for 30 minutes with ticket master. Turns out my dad spelled his email address wrong when he bought the tickets. He assumed that we would be fine going to will call to get them. Nope… after the phone call I got them sent to my email and then walked right in.

Man, Kyler Murray is going to give us problems these next few years. If they can fix that line and pick up their defense they are going to be a headache. Between him and Wilson we are going to have 4 games a year against scrambling / running QBs.

I hope we can get this defense right

Ugh. That Falcons loss cost us clinching before week 17 if things keep going as they are currently.

Super frustrating. And you just know Seattle is going to bring their A game against us next week.

Good thing is they may be more beat up than us, or at least on offense. Down to 3rd string RB

We’ll see how they look next week. I remember last game how their pass rush was weak and they had this and that concern and they suddenly all woke the fuk up against us.

Our OL and DL both need to step their game up in a big way if we want to win next week. Hopefully they do that. Team knows what’s at stake but Seattle obviously will be playing for similar stakes…which is why it sucks that we blew the Atlanta game. Would’ve been really nice to sit our top guys for two weeks and let them heal up and rest up.

We need to step it up at every level of play except for special teams to win next week.

I will be checking updates on Clowney and Diggs all week. Seattle is absolutely destroyed with injuries…both RBs gone for the year after today and their LT is going for surgery tomorrow.

They have lost three games at home this year…we have to get this one!!!!!!

Crazy to think if we lose…we have to ship right out to Philly the next week.
