Im not sure I mentioned it in here to you guys, but I randomly started having "panic/anxiety attacks" 2 years ago. I had to push like a mother fukker to get them to not blow me off, but they were seizures! Turns out I'm an epileptic and I spent two years without monitoring because they couldn't he bothered to listen or look into it further. Frustrates the fukk out of me. I basically had to self diagnose and track for a year before I could force them to get me a neurologist. And then it took me 9 months to actually get in to see him. Wtf.
Sounds like stress to me. Do you feel anxious? JK JK

But for real, glad to hear you're doing better! It really depends which hospital or clinic you go to. I found a decent family doctor and she helps with these sort of not so obvious issues. The other suggestion is to go see a Nurse Practitioner if they have one at your clinic. They take much longer to listen to your issues and actually look into the source of the problem (holistic approach) instead of throwing pills at you.

But keep in mind that if anyone that show up to a doctor with the symptoms you described got to see a neurologist the wait list would be 10 years. Same with everyone that walks in with a back problem and depends an MRI.

Socialist healthcare of peace. Unfortunately my family and I, through first-hand experiences, know all too well about this issue. Sad!

I've been fortunate enough to never be in a situation where I had to wait extensively for a medical emergency. Only had one non-dental related surgery, albeit not an emergency, and I only had to wait about a week if that. Granted both parents are doctors so maybe having that connection helps?

Doesn't it depend on the medical service needed and how available specialists are?

It does, which is why I put a question mark at the end of my statement to make it clear that I am throwing out a possibility.

I don't live in a very populated area, so there's not a lot of medical "traffic" to deal with.

Yeah everyone's experience is different.

I only had 1 health scare when I was living in the US. Had mono and my throat closed up and had to be taken to the hospital. Was helped right away and looked after/tested constantly. Thankfully my Canadian insurance was able to cover most of the cost down there.

Thanks man! You're exactly right. It was a blanket diagnoses. But if they had actually listened to me, they would have known that it wasn't panic. They happen every 30-40 days in a cluster. And that's IT. You don't get to time panic/anxiety attacks, lol. I told a lot of medical professionals about them too. The drs AND the therapists (cause of course I needed therapy to deal with my anxiety). I saw three different drs (because the place I go is a teaching clinic) and it still took me having to self diagnose. the nurse practitioner thing is a good point though. She does seem more "on the ball" and willing to help more. Maybe it's a jaded thing..

You got lucky, bruv. A stay down here can bankrupt you if you don't have really good insurance that your particular hospital will accept.

Anyone in Montreal and down to hangout?
PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way.
GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad.
GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

I wouldn't think Canadian min wages in one province would have much an effect on gold. At most maybe pushes CAD down and gold just becomes worth at the same USD price
