I've never really gotten the speedy thing, but the one you chose is probably the ugliest of all of them. I agree with the BB58 suggestion. They aren't easy to get, but they are slimmer and more sleek than the other ones.

Also, Grand Seiko needs a rebrand in the worst way. There's quite a few hi-beat models i've been interested in but just can't bring myself to spend over 5k with something that has seiko on the dial. if they could be had for the price of an aqua terra i'd be all over them like a fly on chit tho

They used to say SEIKO in big letters with Grand Seiko as a secondary name, but not too long ago they officially changed it to the main GS logo and Grand Seiko branding.

Obviously things are wildly different now, especially with Spring Drive (quartz) being the main driver of both GS and Credor. to add to the "blow your AD for a rolex" convo… does anyone follow thewristwatcher on ig? Literally EVERY watch he sells he posts on his story.. "sub for my good friend @xyzxyz" "pepsi for my good friend @xyzxyz" "new hulk to my good buddy @xyzxyz". his own collection is ridiculous… the second people call him out on it he deletes comments or claims that he bought them legit through other ADs….yea…right. Cant find the pic right now but he has like 2 of every popular model. its a little obnoxious

- Grand Seiko dials really are fuking stunning in person.
- I saw very swaggy looking 60+ year old wearing Balenciaga sneakers and a european scarf picking up a Parmigiani. Mind was nuked, I know they're great watches but I didn't think people actually bought them because of the cheese-like name.
- There was absolute FUKall in the Audemars Piquet glass. Space for 50+ watches. They had MAYBE 5.

Looked HELLA suspicious and was like "you have any steel professional rolex? can i avoid taxes if you ship to me over state lines?" I was like WOW. At the second AD, some cringey swaggy millennial in a pink hoodie, and yeezy runners came in looking for Royal Oaks and the AD hit him with the -_- look. I lol'd

What's the over/under on honeymoon periods for new pieces?
I'm just over a week of ownership and I can't stop looking at my wrist while i'm at work lmfao.
Literally zerofuks given if anyone else is noticing it or checking it out. I just love the character of it. The new sheen of the bronze (that I know patinas away), the thick clicking sound of the rotating bezel, the depth of the dial from the gradiant dial/applied indices, and the snowflake near the end of the running seconds hand is perfectly placed to align with the bottom of the hour markers as it passes them. Pure hnnng.

The new sheen of the bronze (that I know patinas away), the thick clicking sound of the rotating bezel, the depth of the dial from the gradiant dial/applied indices, and the snowflake near the end of the running seconds hand is perfectly placed to align with the bottom of the hour markers as it passes them. Pure hnnng.

I've had this 10 years and I love it as much as the day I bought it. I have more than a dozen straps and bands for it so I wear the fuk out of it but I still get giggity that it's mine.
