nslookup.exe should however work and it should resolve and show IP address 3.84.217.34 (forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com). If you can't see this IP your DNS is not working properly or it is blocked by your IT.

Another test you can do is visit the IP directly:

https://3.84.217.34

If you reach the servers you will get a warning that the "Connection is not private" or equivalent. If you ignore the warning and press on you should get a 503. That is "good", as it is further evidence that something is wrong/blocking DNS.

Yep, I suspected this would work. This means you can actually reach the site; however, when you use the DNS name (i.e., https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com), the DNS does not “resolve” (map to the IP) correctly for you. This could be due to DNS filtering, but at this point, we are only speculating.

One more test: If you have administrator rights on your computer and want to be a bit cheeky, you could try updating your local DNS settings:

Open this file in Notepad as an administrator (right-click on Notepad → Run as Administrator):

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Add the following lines at the bottom of the file:

3.84.217.34 obnoxiousbrutes.com
3.84.217.34 forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com

save the file and then try your browser again.

My home internet was automatically blocking this site last month. Dunno why, but if I connected to my wifi it wouldn’t load. If I used cellular data everything was normal. It randomly stopped after about a day.
