I have never been to America. If I do go I want to avoid the big crowded touristy cities. I was thinking of the more rural "empty" areas.

I have traveled the world a good bit. Not as much as some people for sure, but I'd say the U.S. has the best scenery from coast to coast. We have crystal clear water and white sand beaches in some states. Then we have mountains that rise way into the sky and are snow-capped. We have deserts. We have 63 national parks. We have thick forests, large rivers, massive lakes, and swamps. We have rolling plains and prairies too. Once you go from Colorado to California, you never look at the world the same again. Many cities have perpetual cooler climates like San Diego and Santa Barbara, Seattle too.
