Well I have come to be really mindful as to how I would want to go into dating again. I think what I’ve learned would make me someone great to date but I’ve accepted being alone forever. I’m in a weird place I think- like the men I typically date aren’t something I can do anymore and I don’t know what the next step up is. I also have like scars from my past life. Like tells I guess - that probably wouldn’t make me desirable to men that are the step up. So I’m basically doomed.
My self worth is probably really fucked . I don’t think it’s something I can get past to the point where I ever try dating again.

it's pretty much common knowledge at this point for anyone comfy enough to leave the blue pill plantation -- 100% of women trying to have a relationship with around 15-20% of men. Some of those women "settling" for some the remaining men if they bring a lot to the table (namely status or money). This can often lead to friction in the relationship (or divorce/cheating) later down the line.

It will be tough going for the majority of women because obviously they can't all get a quality relationship from 15-20% of men. The bottom 80-85% of men either can't get dates or can't get enough interest to be too selective in what they want from a woman. Like the situation for women -- this can lead to friction in the relationship later on down the line.

When I was 40 and then again for a spell in my late 40's, dating was ridiculously easy, like shooting fish in a barrel. I could literally load up Tinder/Bumble on a Wednesday and get laid that weekend, or at least the following weekend. Had at least 3 girls on rotation at any given point, sometimes 4-5 (got to be a headache). I haven't been in the game for a few years now, but I think if I was, I'd still have the same level of success. And that's of course, with my age demographic, but I also dated the occasional girl way younger for fun because I knew where to find them.

What I find most men lack is not only basic people skills and taking care of themselves with the bare minimum of looking decent, but also the idea that it's a game and you have to assume the rules are stacked against you and learn to play with them rather than against them. They also lack any idea of realistic expectations. News flash: if nobody is matching with you, it means you're swiping on girls who are out of your league. It will happen occasionally, but very infrequently.

You also need to be able to follow the process. Match, then chat, then date, then fuck. Lots of guys rush the process or are total autists when it comes to game and getting women to bang them.

TL:DR: It's not actually that bad, you're just bad AT it.

Based on age of the MISC, I think we all just hear it sucks because dating in your late 30s/40s sucks. Divorced broken people, most with kids or some kind of baggage and people that have become accustom to being alone and not flexible enough for a partner.
