If I buy 3 toilets and I hire a tradie to install them, how much would you charge?

That’s probably about 4 hours of work for the lad. So like 300-400$ plus tax unless paid in cash(we like cash, us tradies)

Of course something can go very wrong during installation and turn it into a 1500 job

If you ever do, save a bunch of time and hassle and hire somebody that locates lines, exclusively. It's probably pvc, so a metal detector is out. And of course, it's probably buried deep as heck if you live above a frost zone

Just laid out a chiller plant.


I'm just not thrilled of the idea of dealing with homeowners full time.


Plus, I still enjoy big jobs with the right people. Makes the day go by fast.


That, added in with seeing the final product of a commercial install is still satisfying.


Maybe when I cash out my retirements I'll start doing it part time just for extra cash.

My last commercial job was a buildout for a restaurant. 1 walk in freezer, 1 walk in cooler, 2 furnaces/coil/condensor, 1 condenser and 5 ceiling cassettes. Best part about doing commercial work is not having to do my own electrical

Job before that was a brewery that needed a bunch of piping done for the beer room

Last two jobs were commercial heating systems, and I got sick of brazing heating panels in the ceiling.


I still get my dick hard hanging 30" carbon steel still.

Yah I did have to solder everything. The room was supposed to be empty too but they had the tanks in there already so I was climbing on these things trying to get all my piping done. It got to a point where I just did take offs and used some Goodyear hoses since I already knew this shit was gonna get moved again
