lots of loud fake people here in sydney. Growing up on the north shore with the rich kids has made me well aware of that, however going to school with the asians from the South I am also aware of the fact that it is ONLY the white australians that are like this SRS

people sayin we`re "fake" if being nice to randoms is fake then whatever.. you kunts need to be fake more... call us racist? did you grow up with a bunch of aboriginals ganging up on you? or wogs trying to fight you at school? no? then stfu. what i will say is most people here want to just drink beer and watch sports and only work to live. its very hard to make friends here.. most people stick with their highschool friends only. also girls are really stuck up ( 80 /20 rule) and most guys are gym junkies which makes it even harder...

I've only known one Australian.

He came over and worked for the company I worked at when I was in high school. Everybody loved him at first because he was unique. Then, after about two weeks everybody disliked him and generally felt bad for him because he was, as you described OP, loud, obnoxious and fake. Everyone stopped giving him attention and he just got louder and louder until he stopped and ended up going back home after about 3-4 months.

Don't agree with the racism, especially on the east coast as you say, unless you're in regional areas. When I was in Sydney my friend group was a mix of white guys, asian guys and leb/serbian guys that all got along. No one is really loud or obnoxious tbh unless they're drinking and doing coke together but even then not as obnoxious as bogans.

Bogans are pretty much what you're describing as having met which I would agree for the most part in non-city areas which are less cultured.

I'm in a regional area at the moment and it's pretty fukking groce, the guys are all dirty kunts as are the girls. I went to a pub in a low economic area last night and I would bet at least 50% if not more of the people in the pokies room at the time were on ice.

I've met, worked and socialised with several Aussies over the years and never met one I've never liked. Open, friendly people, love to banter and love to drink. Women are loud, brash and drink too much in general but I don't mind that, apart from the one Aussie girl who puked on my shoes. I prefer Kiwi's though, just as nice but more chilled.

i moved to sydney in november, i hate it here, honestly the weather is the only good thing about this place, if you took that away there would be zero reason to come here

nightlife is chit
very difficult to make friends, as has been said people are fake, standoffish and generally won't welcome you in

the worst part about sydney by far is the women, holy chit it's so bad, the most stuck up pretentious boring basic kunts you will ever meet, nowhere else in the world comes close, and i've been all over

the standard sydney girl has the personality of a cardboard box and thinks the world owes her everything for doing nothing except being born

i can understand hot girls having this mentality even though i hate it, but even the ugly girls act the same

it's mind blowing how bad it is

luckily there are a lot of foreign women here as well so you're not stuck with these kunts

edit: i should probably add that i moved to the north shore which apparently is the worst for it

Actually, agreed with this as well, I grew up on North Shore and it's very insulated. You only see white people, except maybe some tongans but they are considered "ghetto" and you avoid them.

Later in life (mid-20's) I moved towards South Sydney and worked in the city and social life was way different, you start hanging out with asians etc. and their upbringing in the South/West tends to be a lot more exposed and they're forced to grow up faster in a sense. I learnt a lot from them and was exposed to a lot.

If I was still on the North Shore area it's scary to think how insulated and mentally undeveloped I would still be.

I'm in Newtown brah. It's weird in a way. Although this is the artsy/alternative/hipster place, it isn't as completely welcoming (between groups) as one would imagine. Quite clique-y too, and various groups are too egocentric to care much for others.

Yeah, night life is a bit chit to be honest. Makes me miss Europe heaps... absolute GOAT nightlife.
