Australians

Every single Australian (<30) I ever met was loud, obnoxious, fake and just generally annoying. In retrospect I guess most of them were on the east coast, but is this just me and my experience or are the majority like this?

I've also heard pretty bad things from friends who visited, talking about high levels of racism and stuff.

when i was doing my whole Europe back packing thing last year we had a game spot the Aussie.

Had one tell me that it was because everythings so expensive in australia they go wild outside the country on drugs and alchohol that are half the price which makes sense.

Funnily enough (and sticking with the current misc trends), it's the tradies/blue collar workers who are like this. I have a pretty broad friendship group from working in construction and now an office. The tradies are 'loose kunts' and the professionals are polite, respectable humans that focus on their careers.

The tradies/blue collar workers are also the ones that travel because they aren't tied down to their career. Which is who you would run into...

This is pretty much exactly the same with every nationality I meet though. You get the odd cool chap but most yanks that come here are exactly the same... That's just what people sub 30 who travel and party are like.

That probably explains it - I haven't visited Australia, just noting my experience from people I meet; and there seems to be a clear trend.

I had a couple Norwegian buddies that did a year at my Uni in Canada. Booze was so cheap to them in Canada that they bought a liquor cabinet and completely filled it with well over a $1000 worth of booze. Those guys were great.

Australian's in general are very "fake" people.
- laugh at chit that isn't funny, just to keep a relationship going
- tend to follow the latest trend, even if they don't give a fukc
- act all hipster & peace sorta chit, when they don't do chit to make a difference
- fake smiles all round

Speak to a Wog (European's) and you get the truth.
- tell you exactly what they think, they don't give a fukc if it hurts your feelings
- you will know if they like you or not from the get-go
- stick to traditional chit that they BELIEVE, not follow bull chit trends

I haven't had ONE Australian friend in my entire life, my current group of mates are made up of;
- Greek
- Italian
- Macedonian
- Serbian
- Lebanese

I intentionally avoid associating with Aussies, coz they're just different people - weird interests, attitude, etc.

I am by no means racist or hateful of Aussies, we've assimilated with them and treat them the way we expect to be treated.
We respect there way of life, haven't pushed for a "European Takeover" or anything, we just tend to do things our own way I guess.
