I lived in Jordan for two years and in the summer all these rich arabs from the gulf would go to Amman (the capital) and drive slowly in their expensive cars causing a chitload of traffic just to show off.. gonna have to go against everyone itt and say I like *****, went there a few years ago and loved it, probably looking to go back nxt year.

They are doing well at mixing western culture, which can't be said for many places in that part of the world

Sure they've got problems with slavery and perhaps some of the locals may be arrogant but who is anyone to take the moral high ground there's wrong **** going on in almost all places around the world

probably threat of killing the slaves if they try anything then what is worth, the oil gets burned up and the slaves are killed.

UAE has two lingering threats. 1. Oil prices collapsing. 2. ISIS/Conservative Jihadists attacking the country. ISIS boyos are incredibly phucked up, but are not a fan of the extravagance of ***** and allowing alcohol.

Because of 2. the UAE, Saudi, etc... have to treat the US/the west as superiors. They need defense and they can't do it themselves. Hell, the last time Arab countries got together for mutual aid (against Israel), it didn't work out very well.
