you'll change your mind eventually, what gives your life purpose is beyond vacations, money, or other petty **** like that what all men seek in the end is influence. Being a big shot CEO, athlete, or celeb can give you that for a handful of years but then you'll realize it's meaningless and seek something more meaningful.

If you do get clipped, ask the doctor to perform the one that has the highest reversal success rate (it's like 85% even after 10 years) and store away plenty of sperm. Have yet to meet anyone over the age of 40 who genuinely said they were glad they didn't have kids. Some say they're glad, but at the same time say they get pangs of jealousy and loneliness when they hangout with other people's kids. I'm sure you could train yourself to suppress it but as stated in this thread, having kids is wired into your DNA.

biologically, no creature on earth has a desire to procreate. we all have a desire to fukk though and the rest takes care of itself. if you raise a child in a lab, they never have a desire to create a baby but they will want to fukk a sloot if they see one.

the desire to actually reproduce (not fuark) is purely social.

Guess we're not as weird as it seems we are when people look at us like we're insane for not wanting children. I see both sides however, so I can understand why people enjoy being parents. Just not meant for everyone . Just glad my wife feels the same way. I've changed so much in the last year alone, so I wouldn't be shocked if eventually I wanted a child. But it's looking bleak.

I've noticed the condescending remarks more than anything. People wonder why there is such a harsh backlash from the no kids/marriage crew when the pro crowd is constantly acting like they're better than anyone without kids.

I have a son and love him to death, holy hell its a lot of stress and work and wouldnt recommend it to anyone unless you are hellbent on having kids and mentally/financially stable.

kids are cool, but they're more fun to borrow than own. my brother and his wife brought their 2.5yo twins over on saturday

there were 3 diaper changes in less than an hour lol and they started crying after 45mins and had to leave. for about 30 mins though it was awesome with them running around my backyard. most of what they do is bullchit slave work though. no thanks. it gets slightly less disgusting as they age, but you're still enslaved. that reminds me, i gotta buy pops something awesome to assuage my guilt about being born srs.

I just find kids to be exhausting. They're at 11 all the time or sleeping. Its nearly impossible to get them to just chill for an hour

Nothing wrong with not having kids if you don't want them. It takes a lot of work, money and is stressful at times. I became a father, unplanned, but for me it was the best thing to ever happen. I love my daughter more than I thought possible to love someone. I would not expect everyone to respond the way I did however. Hell I never planned on having kids, but here I am now, and I couldn't imagine life without my kid.

I literally have built an outdoor pen for my two year old so he can wreck shiit outside and stay out of the street. Then he comes in eats passes out THEN when he wakes up he's tolerable at like 4 pm.

Another part is I'm kind of scared to be a father. I know I'd do my best to be a great father but having a child that turns out to be a scumbag would suck. Or a Whore for a daughter.

Sure we'll miss out on some cool things in life, taking kids trick or treating, reading books to them, watching them play sports, but for us, those things don't overcome the joy we get from being free from that massive responsibility.

Any other young married couples out there on the same page as us??
Get some of your semen cryogenically stored just in case but my opinion is don't have kids. Fuk what everyone else in society wants. We have one and after five years have gotten back to the standard of living we were at pre-child. The stress it causes on the both of you both emotionally, financially, and mentally simply isn't worth it imo. I don't regret having my daughter as she's pretty awesome and I love her more than anything, but I do wonder where I would've been had we not decided to have a child. Enjoy your lives!

Definitely agree with the puppy quote above me. Even worse than kids.

40 is a terrible age. They graduate high school when you're 58/59 and college right around the time you retire(for non government folks). You're entirely too old to play sports with your children or really even help with the grandchildren when they decide to have some. No later than 35 I'd say.
