The first concern may have some merit depending on what you do.

The second not so much you're not really reaching in the backseat nonstop generally cruising in the same gear unless you're driving city 100% of the time. You can also always stop.

It sounds like she's looking out for you. She can't physically prevent you from buying the car.

Feels a little immature sometimes, but I fukkin love it. I went Wrx -> 328xi --> wrx

As long as you don't have a giant wing on the back or anything else that screams man child it just looks like an Impreza. If you have to take clients places in this car you should care about it's appearance. That also means you can have your kids **** in the car so who cares that you can't reach back and slap them while downshifting to pass.

I know a 45 y/o asian dude, engineer of some kind. Drives a bright blue WRX. He told me he picked that color because 'it's the actual color the racers use'. Has a blower and spoiler. He always came across as very mature, level-headed, practical, wise dude I could listen to. After I saw him pull up in that I lost about 95% of that respect.

Now, I don't know anything about cars, but my first and only impression about anyone driving this over the age of 16 is 'lmao'.

Perhaps someone who is into cars and knows what is under the hood might be more understanding of your choice. But someone who is over the age of 17, and has a respectable job, is just going to smirk when they see you in that car. I don't think I could take you seriously in real life.
