If you want to upgrade your Android one go spmc. Take a backup of your Kodi setup first so you don't have to redo it all.

Speak for yourself. I've tried playing videos on there and right before they start playing, it goes black for a second and then back to the main screen. Will go to the maintenance tool first and clear cache and thumbnails but it's doing on all four devices in my house.

I don't use it, but getting a debug log and taking a look might help.

So I just updated to Krypton and Exodus still works fine, seems to be starting streams even faster tbh.

Now this is on my HTPC, what are you using OP?

I normally use exodus but last night I couldn't get TWD to play at all. Pheonix had a few stutters but did fine. For older content the exodus streams are usually great but for stuff hot off the tube its seems pretty spotty.

For those getting buffering and stuttering on a lot of different things, have you set up an advancedsettings.xml? Obviously it doesn't fix a slow source, but if you're getting it all over the place then maybe it's not the sources.

Pi3 is better than a Fire Stick, but the setup is non-trivial. I have both...the Pi is great for emulators.

Not this time, it is still having the same issues. It's not my internet speed because I've tested and all my other devices run perfectly.

Someone told me to download the ad-on "Specto". I did that, but the providers are junk for a lot of stuff and only HQ, no HD or 1080.

Any experiencing the same or found a fix?
specto usually good. Ive noticed its been a bit **** lately. B.O.B is ok.

Think google as making it difficult for kodi etc to scavange the links from the WEB

Might be just easier to reinstall Kodi and add Exodus again than mess with it.

For people that play local files (or files from a NAS) IMO Plex is better and simpler. You can watch it on one tv, pause, then continue watching on another. Downside is that you can't add streamers like Exodus.

Kodi is old news. The developer canned the project a few months back. Check outhttps://terrariumtv.com/

In the end you're never going to get the same as a paid service, occasionally there can be trouble finding a stream etc things aren't as click and go as Netflix.

But if you're finding most fuzzy and blurry there's a problem. What add-ons you using, and what sources do you tend to use within that program? Do you use a debrid service at all? Are you mostly watching brand new movies where of course they are going to be crappy cams?

Yeah that sucks. I'm going to try ride it out until spmc has a Krypton version, if not then I'll have to switch a couple of boxes back to Kodi.

Depending on the age of your kids they might enjoy the animal TV add-on,live streams of zoos, nature reserves etc.

Plex is nice for sure, but to add to this, if you want to do something similar using streamed content then trakt will sync your libraries, watched statuses etc across all devices, I would think most people using Kodi are already doing this.

The yatse remote for Kodi can also cast streaming content from one device to another. It's also handy if you're running Kodi on something slow as I used too, you can bypass all menus etc on your Kodi box and just do it all on your phone. It's very slick.

Alright so I tried the easiest suggestion ITT, just removing Kodi, and reinstalling it + Exodus. I was able to watch a show uninterrupted. Don't know if that was just luck or it really worked. Had to get to bed early. I will probably watch some movies in the next day or two and I'll report back on how its going.

Trying to troubleshoot based on the suggestions starting with the easiest one first.

So far OK....I had a couple buffering instances, but it's been better. Although I haven't gotten to watch a lot lately. Will update thread this week as I have the house to myself for a few days and will need entertainment.

The only time I had an issue with Kodi was when the internet was going slow. Have you done a speed test on your internet?
