Any Kodi users ??

Low on Reps today, but I'll deliver to anyone who provides something that helps either today or when off spread.

Using Kodi for awhile, but last week Exodus started being a giant POS. Things are taking forever to load, buffering slow as hell. Had issues before, but it usually resolved in a day or two. Not this time, it is still having the same issues. It's not my internet speed because I've tested and all my other devices run perfectly.

Someone told me to download the ad-on "Specto". I did that, but the providers are junk for a lot of stuff and only HQ, no HD or 1080.

Any experiencing the same or found a fix?

Gotta clear the cache brah, download the maintenance toolkit from the addon installer and then just run the 'clear cache'

Here's a tutorial for it:https://www.techjunkie.com/clear-cache-kodi/

Cheers brah

Exodus has been useless lately. I think the Kodi OS just had an update, the last update slowed everything down while I was on the previous version, so make sure you are up to date with everything. Maybe Exodus is getting their next release ready too?

I'm stealing everyone else's suggestions too, hopefully something takes care of it. Good luck OP, thanks everyone else!

I've heard some content providers are doing DNS style attacks on the streaming services. If you can't beat em, fuk em in the ass.

Lambda has retired. Exodus is now community maintained that may explain your problems. I use SALTS as my main add-on for that kind of thing.

Been trying to reply for ages, is this site being a piece of chit for everyone else?

I've been having a couple random issues lately actually.

1.) When I go to rep, I only get the part of the box that says " I approve" or "I disapprove". The entire rest is cut out and I cant hit submit or type comments.
2.) When I reply to a thread, and click post reply, it takes me back to the thread, but my comment isn't there unless I refresh again.

This honestly wouldn't surprise me at all. I almost cancelled all my Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts when I got Kodi, glad I kept them for instances like this or I'd be watching black screen.

Kodi in no way supports any of these plug-ins.
These plug ins are maintained by the pirates(used loosely here) who provide them. Kodi is just an interface. If you want to pirate with it, you're not really using it in the best way for that. It's meant for local files not streaming..
It can do streaming but does run into issues.

Just for anybody wanting to understand this, this is all third party stuff and not supported by Kodi in anyway.

Just an FYI.

I rarely use streaming, but if you want to use Kodi for local files, however you get them (not my problem....) then I have a ton of knowledge on that.

Kodi for me has always been pretty bad, don't know if it's my provider blocking everything or something else.
I just use the MovieHD app now for all my TV shows and Films, and that has been working well (Using chromecast from my tablet).
For sports I use Mobdro which is really good, but that's mainly for UK Sky sports channels so not too sure what other sports channels work and how well.

I should try this did that clear it up?

I feel like my issues only started when I upgraded to Krypton.

Exodus works fine for me. Specto works pretty much the same and looks just like Exodus. Give it a try

Service providers are now blocking some streams though, so be on the look out for that. AT&T, T-Mobile and Comcast are just a few.

Where does exodus get it's content from? Does it work like a torrent client? I've been worried about those in the past since your ip gets associated with public trackers.

Exodus and similar are multiscraper add-ons. They have a bunch of places they scrape from. You can turn certain scrapers off if you wish.

There is popcorntime and time4popcorn. There are also several different extensions. The one I use still works fine.

Specto was really slow for me last night too. I got the prompt to upgrade to 17.0 but my box is still Android kit kat. I'll have to check my raspberry pi tonight.
