Get a sharp sharp knife. Stab it in the throat.

If there's 2 of you, then it's easy to get it off. You just need someone who knows how to kick. Give it a proper good soccer kick in the chest and even a pit will have to release since you're really ****ing its insides.

i think your best bet is when it is running at your to boot it in the head and face as hard as you can to try and stun it. Then proceed to football kick it as hard as you can. this likely wont stop the pitbull but at least your fukking its chit up slowly...it will make a second lunge at you this is where you need to tear off your t shirt/jacket/whatever you got maybe even your belt and give it something to bite on. you could try an blind it with the clothing, ultimately if you can pick it up by the legs and slam it as hard as you can into the concrete you can incapacitate it enough to get away with minimal damage.

thats an interesting idea. rip shirt/jacket off and throw it over pit's face. have to get a little lucky with some good aim under stress.

i'd jump on it, put all my weight on the pit and knee/elbow/snap its legs each one by one while centring it hard to the floor with all my weight and power. hopefully by then its neutralized... if i still see a threat, i'd heel its face in till its dead with some hefty stomps

I am not a fan of these dogs for reasons. My brother just got one and brought it home. I think he's a dumbass. I tell him he's a dumbass. He lives with my parents. You can't tell him anything about the dog because like all owners, he gets into this mindset that he's a lion tamer and it's not the dog it's the environment. My parents won't put their foot down.

To answer Op, I personally would hope I have a knife on me.

I've wrestled with my dog a lot and the trick is to grab them by their front legs and pull them out from underneath them so they end up on their back that way they can't really use the force to get back up.

If they're trying to bite the hand that you grab with you go to try to push their neck away from where they're trying to bite you so that way you can hold onto their leg without them being able to bite your hand and with the other hand you pushing their head away from your hand.

If you keep the second hand tight under their jaw in a neck choke they can't bite that one either.

Hopefully there are 2 Pit Bulls, then I'd pull an Arnold Schwarzenegger in True Lies, and use both hands to slam the dogs skulls into one another, rendering them unconscious.

After that, I'd try and get on its back and choke it to death. Maybe try and break it's neck while I'm at it?

Only thing it really has going for it is it can bite. I mean sure, it has claws, but they aren't gonna do any serious damage. Shallow cuts.

I'd get control of its neck and squeeze.

If I'm allowed to use it in this scenario, I always have a pocket knife on me.
A few stabs to the throat will certainly kill a pitbull...

Grab its front legs and spread them if possible. Will kill the dog SRS. If possible try and ram my fist down its throat. SRS. Basically aim to punch to its stomach through its mouth with all my force. SRS. Also would try sacking the dog. SRS.

Looking for the nearest elevated thing / surface and jumping on or over it.

If there is absolutly nothing, then try to kick it. If it latches on to my leg it will give me the chance to get ahold of its neck.

I really don't know what I'd do other than try to keep calm. The more you fight, the more vicious they will get and they will not back down easily. I would try to find something on the ground, a rock or large stick to attack with. If that wasn't an option, I'd either twist it's ears in the most agonizing way I could or dig my fingers into its eyes. I imagine that would be hard because they would probably be moving around a lot.

Reading some of the posts….

I think some of you underestimate just how strong and relentless these dogs can be. Someone said they would try to get behind it and break its legs… yeah good luck with that. It would be really difficult to fight one off if it's already in its "kill" mentality. You would really need to hit it really hard in the face or something to get it to back off. Once they lock their jaw onto your arm, it's going to be hard to make it let go without someone helping you. If your alone, that means you're going to have to use your free arm to try and fight it off while your other arm is being mangled under the pressure of its jaw.
