The Game by Neil Strauss.

Don't get me wrong, I've never used the pua BS in it, but it's an enjoyable read and completely changed my approach to women. I thought if these idiots can get girls, surely there's hope for an average schmuck like me if I just grow a bit of balls and put myself out there a bit more. It worked.

Also read around the same time Sentimental Education by Gustave Flaubert. About a young man that sheds his sentimental attitudes to love and women, with commensurate gains. Also hugely influential in my life.

because there is more to life than your sh!tty entry level engineering job. You don't have to read to necessarily to further your career but you can broaden your thinking.
