Depends on the position. I work from home every day, 22 vacay days, 12 holidays, unlimited sick (srs, but I take like two a year), will be working from Europe for 3 weeks working 2-10PM euro time, going out from 10-4AM, sleep til 11AM, beach two hours, repeat.

This is why you have to choose the right place to work. EE with smallish/medsize consulting firm checking in. None of this BS around this part of town, I assure you friends.

The only chit we do as "company" functions is have open bar events at bars downtown and every new years the owner rents out hotel rooms with open bar downstairs for anyone who wants to join. Have key and passcode to get in the building, can come in anytime between 5:30 and 10:30am. I haven't really tried later cause... if I need any more time I just take the day. They want chit done and they know I'm a closer so there is no misunderstanding. They pay, I get it done and make them even more money. Of course it does help that the owner is an OG and has seem my work personally.

Totally encourage other bros to work with smaller companies

I went to a group interview for a truck driving position.

They made us do that emergency boat scenario, what the group discusses out of a list of people/occupations, who they should include on the boat for best change of survival.

Apparently I didn't speak up enough, didn't get job. There were a few loudmouth *******s that just kept screaming and cutting people off, they probably hired them.

That's mild compared to the OP, I would have just left.
