Now, I'm not going to be so bold as to say what should or even could be done about it or even speak as to whether those that are scraping by aren't there by their own doing, but you can't look at the math on what it would take to spend all that and be even remotely okay with it. If you can, you have no conscience and might even be sociopathic.
Wrong. His wealth is chump change compared to Rockefeller, or compared to Queen Victoria, or compared to any number of other entities. Eventually Amazon will face a stumbling block and be replaced, or his shares will be sold off.

He doesn't have 90 billion dollars sitting around in cash.

I agree with this. I'm a conservative, but there's a point where hoarding billions of dollars when there's people starving in the world is just heartless.

If they are using their money to make more money so they can give more later that's one thing, but if you're just hoarding it until you die then that's pretty chitty

And just lol at donating it after you die. So only donate it once you're already dead and can't possibly use it anymore. So generous...

Also I guess securing the success of future generations in his family is not ok too apparently cause he created a successful business and you don't like that he made it. He still probably pays more taxes a year than your entire family trees net worth 10 generations back

No legit conservative who had any clue what the term means would say the above. Truly derpa derp worthy. You have no clue what he's "hording" or what he gives to charity or does not, where his $ is actually sitting (what, you think it's in a savings account?) or what he does or does not do for his fellow man. You're a lib in pretend conservative clothes dude. Stop calling yourself one or learn what it actually means.

The butt hurt in this thread over his success is pitiful. What people do with their money is there business and there's no magic number that changes that. Me, I'd be philanthropic brah to the max, but that's me.

Amazon will be the first trillion dollar company.
Bill Gates donates 10 billion a year and makes about 10 billion a year, that's why his worth is pretty steady, he's almost single handedly wiping out diseases in several 3rd world countries, lol.

If he hadn't donated his money so much estimates say he would be around $250 billion, but he's a charitable sort of fella.

Bill Gates has not given away much.

He has pledged to donate 99% (or so) of his wealth when hedies. In the mean time he has donated money but it's not as much as advertised.

Giving money away to charity is the biggest tax scam in the US. The wealthy "donate" lower class stocks, which cannot be sold, and get huge tax deductions and don't pay as much taxes as they should. The charity then gives them vacations at 5 star resorts, and flies them out on private jets.

And here comes the "oh you're not a real conservative!" guy as expected. Believe it or not, it is possible to be conservative AND care about people

And strong claiming I'm a liberal in disguise based on one internet post about one specific topic. Clearly that one post lets you know me better than I know myself

There's a certain type of conservative who only seems to care about preserving rich people's money, when they themselves aren't even rich. Those are the ones making us look bad

Didn't read thread, but 90 billion is not even close to 1 trillion. Literally extremely far removed from being 1 trillion dollars.

Alright, bros.

Understood - not cash in the bank.

Still, though, my point being you know the dude has more cash than you can spend in a lifetime.
As for my politics, my only point there was when you consider the aforementioned fact, it does give you pause. It's an awe-inspiring amount of money. And that's all I meant. Anyone getting all politically-roided out over my post seriously needs to have their blood pressure checked because I really meant it in the most innocuous sense possible.
