I cared haha, wasn't worried about anyone else's feelings. It was the first time in 3 years for me lifting and I used to be able to rep 245. Not to mention how stupid I felt for being near 300 lbs and not even being able to hit my warmup weight. Lol.

Not quite $300-$400 but been there. I bought 3 months' worth of the USPLabs ASteroid Stack (like $120) once just because one of their 2-page ads had me that sold. Didn't gain a single ell bee in bodyweight, didn't get stronger.

Falling for the Stronglifts bullchit. BRB no accessory exercises, taking no supplements etc. Good thing that I snapped out of that bs after a while, that's when I really started making gains

Back in the early days I used to lecture people about how important it is to train legs; whether I knew that person or not. I would then wait till someone looked my way and proceed by going heavy on squats. lol what a ****ing embarrassing ***got.

Nowadays idgaf what people do/don't do. Couldn't care less.

Started out doing Starting Strength cos the internet experts said so
Squatting 3x a week and some bigger bodybuilders in the gym asking my mate why I always squat

Deadlifting ~285 veins bursting and making a lot of noise, 2 competitive bb'ers bert staring me

6 months in, gained big legs, no upper body mass and realised how stupid SS is for bb'ing

Got sucked in the trap of strong lifts/ starting strength and read about the "see food" diet.

Tbh I got pretty damn strong and the noob gains were good but I got disgusting and fat. Drank sweet drinks all day cause see food diet.

Only snapped out of this after college but at least I did eventually. Have yet to squat nearly the same weight, but I look 100x better than before and don't care about the weight

Put a slip line in my front room for training boxing slip drills thinking my neighbours across the road would be impressed with my boxing skills and think i was alpha and the next Mayweather.

A few years ago i got it in my head that my aging father could sort his bad back with 24kg kettlebell swings.... it did not go well.

I once wore really tight shorts to the gym and got embarresed when i realised some chick on the treadmill was staring at my bulge when i was on the leg press.

Many years ago i saw a guy with a bert shirt on at the gym and said "You aware *******?" as i walked past him, he replies "*******?" to which i respnded "u gonna get ra**d"... he told management and i was warned not to get homo with others in the gym.. (i made a post about it on the misc years ago.) I tried to explain to them about the shirt and misc, but they just stared at me like i was a homeless rapist.

I also had this old skinny guy with gardening gloves on and a wife beater come up to me and be like "Hey mane" he then tried to clean a barbell it went right over his head and him with it, smashed mirrors and all kinds of chit... dude was lying in a heap wondering what happened.

315 smith machine squat, complete with grunting.

Spending absurd amounts of money on supplements when I could have been saving it or spending it on life experiences. Aside from bare minimum stuff, fuk the supplement industry.

Still do this. The hammer strength racks at my gym rest the bar on unadjustable pegs so i have to tip toe to unrack or start the squat from bottom... no thx jeff

So I use some different rack with really high support arms so when i go down the bar bangs off the arms so i have to walk out of rack
