Yeah.... if you don't need 1 plate on the 45deg leg press, you should probably go use the n00b leg press in the old-person side of the gym....
#courtesyplate
Spoiler!
what's way more annoying is when people steal and leave less than 4 plates per side for the leg press holders.....
showed up one day and there was only 2 pps on holders was like /smh now I have do three farmers walk to the nearest smith machine

but for barbells it's just laziness. Barbells aren't only for benching or squats.
Sometimes I like to do that lunge movement where you finish the lunge motion with a barbell lift over the head. Not sure what it's called but I had a previous PT show me that one and it stuck with me.

I always wipe down the equipment before and after I use it too. See too many people who look like they should be quarantined at the cdc coughing everywhere at the gym.
Starting to realize most people at the gym are ass holes.

If you've been lifting long enough, you understand when to leave a 45 and when not to.
Im sure most of you acting like its common sense dont always put them back, do a set right in front of the dumbbell rack, stand in the middle of a walk way to do a set, or put weights back in the wrong spot.

Handling a plate wrong could easily jerk or pull something on any one who is out of shape, or has a minor loss of balance. a 110lbs. woman lifting 45 lbs plate is a lot of strain i would imagine .

The other behaviour you talk about is complete douchenozzle territory - especially working out on the db racks. There is a tool at my gym who loads up a barbell for curls and sets it down on the db rack blocking a whole selection of dbs...
It shouldn't be a mystery to anyone who seriously lifts that the gym is no different from other parts of life - very selfish and inconsiderate people train too.

Yep, leaving any plates on is inconsiderate, and an empty bar also signifies you have left the station.

You shouldn't leave any weights on a bar. It's not like it's hard to put a 45lb plate on an elevated bar. But mainly because it's a sign that someone is using it. If there's weights on it you assume it's not free. It's just common sense.
Machine's like Leg Press on the other hand is a different story. Moving dozens of 50+lb plates (25kg at my gym) is tedious as **** and I love it when someone leaves at least a few plates on the machine. And it's not like someone is going to be jumping on the leg press doing less than 2-3 plates per side unless they are doing some weird pilates warm up in which case GTFO.

I get annoyed by that too. As someone who is 6ft3, I need a longer bar for my wingspan on bench for instance, if a manlet has used the bench before me and left weights on a smaller bar and also has adjusted the stands that hold the weight up on the bench it means I have to strip it down . Sometimes there is 200 pounds or more on those bars. 45 pound plates left isn't a 'courtesy' it's because someone can't be arrsed to tidy up and you have taller people than you, smaller people than you, women, beginners to the gym etc etc. It's especially becoming an issue now ,as it's approaching the summer and gyms are busier.
I bang trannies.
