They claim this is "seasoning" the grates, but to me it is obviously not so. For example, when you PROPERLY season a cast iron pan by heating a thin layer of oil on it, the oil will polymerize and basically become the outer layer of the pan. When that process is finished, brushing your finger against the seasoned layer will not leave any residue on your finger.
Now try brushing your finger on someone's grill grates. It will leave your skin pitch black, powdery, and/or oily. It's just a layer of burnt oils and food, not proper seasoning. This is just adding rancid oil and char dust to your food, which is seen as pitch black grill marks on food. It isn't supposed to be pitch black. Proper maillard on meat will be a deep, dark brown. Black just means burn/char.
Grill grates should be washed down and scrubbed clean. Despite what most people think, this does not strip seasoning from metal. Polymerization creates a super strong bond to your metal and it simply can't just be washed away.
I meticulously clean my cast iron cookware and grill grates. I always reseason them properly by rubbing on a thin layer of oil and baking them in the oven to prepare them for the next round of cooking. You will only taste the smokey infusion of my charcoals, not the burnt residue of last night's grilling session.

Skinny guys aren’t bodybuilding “fit”
If you can’t bench 225/squat 315/deadlift 405 keep your progress pics off social media.
Those numbers should be higher to be respectable but those are minimum.

You know how people like to say "it is what it is"?
My most unpopular opinion is that sometimes it is what it isn't.

Firefighting is one of the most over glorified and over paid careers in the US
Most of the military’s special operations units are incredibly overrated. They’re essentially made up of guys that are average in every category of life (intelligence, athleticism, creativity, etc) with metal toughness being the only attribute they excel at.
Politicians aren’t nearly as corrupt as they’re made out to be. Yes they have agendas. Yes lobbying has an influence. But there isn’t some grand conspiracy where billionaires control all of politics and conspire together. Not a single war in US history has been started for financial gain. The strong majority of our elected officials mean well, some are just dumb.

I believe Edward Snowden is someone who should be looked up to.
I believe Donald Trump is a very effective leader despite his frequent political incorrectness. His immigration policy and some fiscal policies are controversial but will benefit the country long-term.
I believe that any foreign military presence should be removed from the Middle East, and the residing nations should be left to determine their own future if warfare is how they plan to accomplish change. I am of the opinion that the only way to produce lasting change is through education and kindness. The cultural diversity found in western nations helped bring about progressive reform and the advancement of a more peaceful society.
I believe we only exist to procreate and that life has little if any meaning.
Edit: I think the Game of Thrones television show is hella overrated & corny.

Maybe this isn't the unpopular opinion on misc, but to the general population it seems to be:
women who are proven/admit to false rape accusations should do the time that the man would have had to have done if he was going to be found guilty.

"You're going to be sore. You're going to be tired. You're going to wake up in the morning unable to move and wanting to give up because you're sore in places you didn't know could even be worked. I'm not telling you it's going to be easy. In fact, it'll probably be one of the hardest things you'll ever do. But I'm telling you it's going to be worth it."

The Confederacy was legally and Constitutionally in the right. When it comes to slavery, white supremacy and Jim Crow, etc., both sides were equally guilty.

Think if you saw someone murder someone and they were proven innocent due to lack of evidence, since you reported it now you are sentenced to 20 years in jail. Wouldn't make sense would it?

- The uncharted video game series is incredibly boring
- 95% of the women (it is mostly women doing it) that have 'fitspiration" style IG pages have no place giving fitness advice and their workouts are nearly always retarded consisting of endless body weight squats , cable kick backs and bosu ball exercises.
- deadlifts are overrated when it comes to building back muscle mass
- money does buy happiness. It removes stress and the removal of stress leads to happiness
- Star Wars revenge of the sith is a good movie

racism is a nonissue
sexism is a nonissue
premarital sex becoming normalized was one of the most detrimental things to ever happen to modern day society
suicide is respectable
single parenting is always a bad thing
rape/sexual assault is preventable more times than not
gang affiliation should result in deportation or the death penalty
criminal lives don't matter, i don't care if police kill or use 'excessive force' against somebody who has committed a crime
