Many young black men today have adopted a victim mentality and believe the world owes them something. Some of these rap figures contribute to that mentality and it hinders their growth as individuals. These kids I see at the middle school down my street are unruly and have zero goals. Most of them think their going to drop a hot mix tape and make a killing off of it.

You also don't see the large issue of mental illness? A lot of problems stem from child hood how do you know your struggle was worse than his? Even a little bit of support from your parents vs no support can go a long way. People are inherently different until and how they handle things are different, you can get similar outcomes when supported and developed to a certain stage.
Your level of bitter hardness adds to the problem the sense of I can do it so everyone can is too rigid, everyone can with the right support yes. Developing people to that Gritty mentality takes time and societal change. Otherwise you end up with antisocial young males that can cause a lot of damage other end of the spectrum is dudes offing themselves over ******** comments.

What he's done isn't normal behaviour even if you are mentally ill and had a rough childhood. Yes it sucks to have both but at the end of the day facts are facts and he was involved with a lot of criminal behaviour and abuses.
