I'd still watch the Obi-Wan movie and an Old Republic movie if they made one. Seeing battles with hundreds of sith and jedi fighting would be sick. Star Wars can still come out with some good movies. All they need to do is cancel the Rian Johnson trilogy and a lot of people would be happy.

Funny that those spin off movies are the only potential for a non-****ty movie to get made. They are going to focus all their efforts on the ****ty movie trilogy that made people not want to watch Solo in the first place.

Jesus.
Also, some gems from their posting:
Disney is done experimenting with new or unusual filmmakers and will go back to proven veteran talent who they know can handle a big budget Star Wars production in an effort to prevent future production chaos, drama, and firings.
Just lmfao. Blame the director. LMFAO. They didn't cancel Rian Johnson's fuking disaster. They still have his trilogy signed. What the actual fuk is this self-delusion? How can they be so blissfully ignorant? Some fans will be disappointed that these rumored Boba Fett, Kenobi, and other standalone projects have been cancelled (at least for the foreseeable future), but these actions clearly tell us two very important things:
Disney is being careful to not sully the legacy of the Star Wars brand.
They are not looking to simply drain the franchise name for as much profit as possible.
This is why you want Disney owning a franchise because they understand if you respect the brand and handle it with quality and care, everything else takes care of itself. A lot of things have been said about Star Wars under the Disney umbrella, but one thing is undeniable: They care about the legacy of this brand and will put quality first, knowing nothing is more important than maintaining the standard set for this franchise that we fans have placed above all other movie franchises as something more than just a movie.
wow unbelievable dick sucking and doublethink...fuking ride mickey mouse's dick moreDisney is being careful to not sully the legacy of the Star Wars brand.

Star Wars will always be massively popular, and something that brings us fans together, and perhaps it being spread out again to one film project at a time will re-ignite that spirit. I respect the decisions being made. Granted it is a business decision, as all of these always are, but they are doing it to protect and preserve the brand instead of squeezing every last drop out of it. Disney could easily have kept ordering projects, decreased budgets, and try to squeeze out as much revenue from as many stories or branches of stories as possible, but they are not. This is why we as fans should see this as a great thing for Star Wars. Disney could have told Lucasfilm ‘tough luck’ on Solo and denied the budget that allowed them to reshoot 80 percent of the movie, but they didn’t. Why? Because they’d rather take a financial hit on a film than put out a sub-par product. Again, this is why we should be happy about this news.
But...*bertstare*solo WAS a sub par product, and TLJ was a fuking prom night alley crowbar abortion. WTF is wrong with these people?

Feige is a Marvel nerd, and not a big SJW pusher which is why the MCU works. I can watch Iron Man, Black Panther, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and all of them feel like the comics to me. Star Wars is endless virtue signalling, though I thought the Force Awakenings was pretty good. Star Trek is having the same issues after the first film.

Star Wars had been killing it with December release dates, for some reason they released Solo in May, just 5 months after The Last Jedi.
I'm thinking if they had waited until December to release Solo, where it wouldn't have to compete with Infinity War and Deadpool 2 it would have done a lot better.
Sure it probably doesn't do great regardless, but instead of doing less than 400 million worldwide, I'm thinking it could have got up around 500-600 million to at least be profitable.

That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

Rogue One was really good. Solo & Force Awakens were good, too. Only TLJ was really subpar, and Rian Johnson & Kathleen Kennedy were to blame for that. Get rid of them and everything is OK.
I don't really get the Solo hate. It was definitely entertaining. Deadpool 2 was way better, but that was the best movie I've seen in years, including Deadpool 1.

I just don't know what they expected as a reaction to the Solo movie. Harrison Ford isn't in it, he IS Han Solo. Im not about to watch a movie with some random actor who isn't Han. An Obi Wan movie should have always been one of the first and it would have worked if they brought back Ewan McGregor.
Force awakens was a good enough intro to a new series. I was pleased and excited about where it was going honestly. Rogue one was the best of any of the new ones by far. TLJ completely ruined any excitement I had for Star wars. Didn't see Solo because of it, and honestly don't plan to unless it's randomly on TV in passing. Depending on the trailers, probably won't see episode 9 either

I wonder what would happen if no one complained about the Star Wars movie but no one went to see it. Would it still be a white male conspiracy or would they try to blame something or some other group of people. I’m guessing they would still blame white men somehow but don’t know how they would go about it.
