Not that Canada is some great place but USA is supposedly so rich not sure why they cant tackle those issues.

she's poor for a reason, people are also poor for a reason. It's a different story if your in a third world country and your village gets raided by savages who steal the food and loot.In America you are literally poor cause of your bad decisions. How many poor people sit around and watch tv after work, and play video games , millions do. They lack the drive to further there skill and knowledge to make more income. You can get a free library card and learn new skills from books but people would rather watch tv and complain they are poor and working 2-3 jobs to survive than try to learn new skills that can earn money not per hour but for skill.


It's about working hard but you can't work hard at low skill jobs and expect to not be poor. Nobody needs to pay you 20/hr to put burgers on a little grill and let it heat up a robot can do it and will do it in the future. They pay more for a chef who can cook gourmet meals that get people to pay lot's of money for a dinner experience. So if you want to make a living cook learn how to be a fcking chef.

Tired of this bs about nobody should be poor you can't help everyone some people don't want to strive for anything let em rot. I believed as a kid to help and save everyone but my parents and grandmother has told you can't help everyone. I can give a homeless man $20 cause he says he hungry, he can go spend that on drugs or beer. This is an example of someone you cannot help no matter what you do. There is many people in the world we just cannot help man this is the sad truth. They have kids and those kids suffer but we cannot save the kids without taking them from the parents. which would hurt the kids even more.... in the end you cannot save them and any attempt to help cause more pain for you and the kids as the parents waste the cash.

I wish a knew a solution for this sht but it's not easy. How can you stop some idiot from having 3-4 kids with deadbeats.. you can't stop it manI'm all for helping people but can we really help this person in the Nytimes article, giving her free money is not going to help her have the skills necessary to get a job that pays more. She needs to put effort in as well but how does she find the time for it with 3 kids? If people helped her enough to study 2-3 hours per day would she do it? This is the thing with society we can't just give people free money that don't help them. They need time to improve, if they are not willing to utilize that time to improve then they are poor by there own fault.

I also feel like many systems implemented to help people is abused by true rotters and degenerates. Something we cannot stop and it jades many people as well when they see these pyschopaths and crazy fcks wasting money making you not want to support it. As human's I don't know if we can make it man. To much people are becoming cynical and jaded, lost and lazy. I hope someone creates AI to govern us. If they create AI and it turns against us maybe that will give human's the strength to not be lazy anymore and get it together. Either that or we will lose and be killed.

We have trillions of dollars for bombs and meaningless wars, but not for taking care of American citizens. I wonder which country Israel is going to get us to go to war with next? My money is on Iran.

I work 50-65 hours a week, my wife works 40-50. We both pay crazy high taxes/hardly get to spend time with our two kids. I honestly have 0 sympathy for this woman for having 3 kids and not being able to support them with a part-time income. I do think it sucks for the kids though.
