I’d steal a sail boat and head offshore.....take all fishing gear for constant supply of fresh food...use buckets to collect rain water once my own supply ran out. Sail around for a few months then return to see if everything is back to normal

I think I'd last for a while. Got 60 lbs of rice stored, and tons of guns/ammo. No medical conditions which require drugs. I have a well for water. My main concern would be other people going house to house looking to loot/kill. Because most people will turn to violence once they run out of food in a few days. I still would like to accumulate more food and a really nice water filtration system.

Have a bug out bag, which is really just most of my camping gear with some non-common stuff like snares, flares, iodine pills, etc. Would grab it as well as about 8 or so guns, few ammo crates worth of ammo and load the truck up, grab the family and head out to the Farm in the bum-****-nowhere near Kansas, 6,000 acres and 2 hours from Walmart, 3 hours from a large city, probably hunker down there until we all die. Has a private well, plenty of food. Biggest challenge would be getting to the farm, pretty rural route mapped out, but depends how quickly people drain the gas at places, would be a long ass walk.
Really depends on the situation man, radiation or just civil unrest, etc. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel or is it just living out the rest of your short life in violence and need?

Most of us will wait a few days before we start to worry things aren't going back to normal. By then, the really paranoid/criminal people will have emptied out the grocery stores, gas stations, and gun stores. You basically start with what you have now because you'll miss out on the looting phase if you're a sane law-abiding citizen.
I think I'd head to the library or bookstore looking for a couple of good survival books. Unlikely those places will have been looted, so I should be able to find something that will help me survive on my own out in the woods.

Indefinitely...
My dad has a couple of hundred acres. There is a fresh water spring in the middle of it, fruit trees already growing, well cultivated garden and enough trees to build numerous houses. We could live off the food they've canned from their garden easily until the harvest....
and then there are the guns...lots of guns and ammo. In addition his neighbors are a band of lunatics so there would be plenty of people to guard land/crops.
It pays to have country roots cause a country boy can survive.

Would use the gas currently in my gas tank to drive to my family's lakehouse. Pack all the water and dry/canned food I can fit in my car, as much survival gear as I can find in my house, and as much clothing as I can find. The lake will provide endless water to boil for drinking and whatnot, and fish to eat as well. It's in a pretty wooded area so we'd have tons of firewood and probably could hunt there too. Although we'd run out of arrows and bullets eventually.
If I were to stay where I am now, I'd probably go loot the dollar general as soon as I realized what was up. We've got enough dry food to last us a few weeks, and there are tons of local and backyard gardens around me. I could probably last a few months at my house, without any major issues. Toughest thing would be water. I'd have to catch rain water, or walk to local creeks and lakes and fill jugs. Then boil it when I got home. Luckily my neighborhood is pretty wooded so starting fires wouldn't be too big an issue.

My dad has a gun. We have a Walmart within 3 miles. Jewel Osco is literally a 10 minute walk. And then Aldi's is about 4 miles. We also have a big number of restaurants + CVS + Walgreens
Would we be able to get food and water pretty quickly? I'd say so seeing as Jewel Osco is right around the corner. Walmart is a possibility, but we'd only get ammunition + crossbow from there. If there's no food then there's plenty of restaurants. If food isn't available we actually have a little wildlife here, actually gotta watch out for dear in some parts. Though I've never been hunting. I also think I'm located by a couple of fishing spots.
We got 3 cars and all of em are atleast half full + no need to go far, so getting supplies in a hurry is no problem

Also, you assume the HAM radio operator knows what's going on. If everything goes dark and there is NOTHING of any sort of explanation from any government at any level and all of the TV and radio stations go dark, how would a HAM radio operator know what's going on so he can report it to everyone else? He'd have to get in his truck and drive around and report what he's seeing.

UK is quite a small area to get access to water but too many people.
I would know where to get water and I have the means to purify it (got purification tablets and water straws), but unless those millions of people are reduced someway it'll be a fkin war just to get it.
I can just imagine dealing with gypsies, gangs and other cirminals let alone many others descending into a bandit-type way of thinking. Would need a shotgun and pistol pretty quickly with plenty of ammo.

For the guys with wells, what's your backup pumping system? I don't think a backup electrical supply is good enough, due to the pump itself eventually failing (true just for daily life with no apocalypse). In my area, wells are small diameter and deep (maybe 4" by 200-500ft) and the submersible pumps occupy all of the available diameter. Might be possible to install a hand pump that ends above the electric pump. Obviously a second well with a hand pump would be best, but that's expensive.

I have some food and a little water, but some purification tablets and ways to boil more. I have weapons, a decent amount of ammo, and plenty of experience using them and am confident in my proficiency with them. The problem is it's just a numbers game. I'm in the burbs, but outside of one of the largest cities. Food supplies in stores will be depleted in a day or 2 (as it is practically every major hurricane that comes through) and there is next to nothing in the way of wild game or edible plants. Essentially the only hope is to survive off of what I have in store through the initial wave of violence and defend my home. Once most people have killed each other off, I'd probably be almost entirely dependent on looting other abandoned homes for whatever is available. Long term, without a vehicle getting to any sort of land where being self-sustaining is possible would be difficult, and even then I don't hunt or grow much, so it would be a steep learning curve if it's just me without someone more knowledgeable. Outlook isn't looking so good, unless I'm able to eventually take everything I need from others.
