I think a lot of you need to adjust your perspective.
I'm impressed every time I see someone in the gym pushing themselves outside their comfort zone. I'm impressed when I see people week after week, month after month and they're progressing in some way or another.

senior citizen that is still shredded and getting after it
a series of short tasks over a relatively longer period of time is life. altruistic light moves under the cover of your own darkness.. find this inner torch bearer and accompany them to the end. we all walk together, but we all walk alone. there is no understanding or purpose beyond that

Nothing really impresses me in the gym, but what does impress me is that I see some of the same guys every single day almost, and we never speak (only fist bump), but when we see each other somewhere in public we all act like we buddies.
I was at HomeGoods loading up some big dressers, and I only had my wife with me, but this dude I always see in the gym came running and was like man I got you.
Real *****s bruh. My wife asked if we knew each other and we were both like.. "nah but we are always in the gym together". Didn't even know each other's name

After I got my shoulder surgery, I was rehabbing at this place that trained hs/college athletes who have a shot at the next level.
Never realized what a terrible "athlete" I was until I saw some 17 year old kid jump onto boxes as tall as he was.
I've seen quite a few people hit 500 on bench, but I've never seen anything else like that jump.

Seeing someone lift a decent amount of weight without grunting like a total douche.
