Edit: while I know dogs arent as complex as humans, no chit, they do have their own personalities. No 2 doggos are exactly alike in every single way. Also, doggos feel love the way humans do, and they can feel sad and mad and threatened and things like that... but yes they're mostly a limbic system because they're predators. TL;DR DON'T BE SO HARD ON DOGGOS PLEASE ;_;

Yea, no one says that about white people.

Not even mad, though. Of course humans' natural reaction is going to be to try and rationalize/group someone after appalling behavior.


In this case: you see the same breed of dog maiming and killing people constantly... it is pretty logical to think maybe they just don't happen to be owned by people who train them to eat children.

Edit: And dogs might have individual "personalities" but they are literally bred to have similar characteristics.

i can agree with every dog is different, but it still doesn't negate the fact that pits have those "fighting instincts" in them, since they were bred solely for that reason. And really the only way to cure that is to literally breed that instinct out of them, which will take ages, and would require responsible breeders to solely own them, which is something that wont happen, so honestly the only option is to regulate it.

The man behind the pitbull ban in Ontario was shown a collage of 30 “pitbull type” dogs and couldn’t pick one out. Here a man who is pushing BSL legislation can’t even identify the dog he wants to ban. People see the block head and square jaw and automatically say “pitbull” so I reserve my judgement until proven otherwise. Want to know another interesting stat? Dog bites didn’t decrease after bsl was put into action.

but would you both agree that there seems to be a certain kind of dog that seems to be responsible for most attacks? If those aren't real pitbulls, I guess nobody wants to ban real pits. Advocates of a ban just want to ban this breed/kind of dog, whatever its name ist.

Or is your point that those dogs cannot be classified together into a certain group?
