Veterinarians - These guys are legit wizards. They can see a dog/cat/lizard or w/e and diagnose, treat and perform surgery by themselves in the space of hours if necessary. One Vet has such a wide selection of skills from surgery, pharmacology, administering X-Rays, Ultrasounds, Scans, Anaesthesiology, dental work etc. To be able to do all of those themselves within their own business/vet surgery is incredible to me. The fact they can have a 1 stop shop and have all these skills blows my mind, plus they save animals which is a beautiful thing. Truly amazin'

People who run dog shelters n save dogs n rehabilitate/help them get well so they can be re-homed

People who help disadvantaged youths and give them good role models

People who have achieved a very high level of skill/knowledge in something

People who don't shirk away from their responsibilities

People who don't make excuses

People who can keep their composure in almost every situation. Sometimes I'm wondering how they manage to control their anger and stay calm when a lot of people would have retorted in an aggressive way if they were in their place. It's different from cowardise though because they don't flee the conflict, it's just that they are able to completely keep their self-control when they respond back

People who just do their thing and don't particularly care about seeking validation for their outlook or lifestyle (so long as they don't harm others, of course).

People who go out of their way to be kind and do the right thing, no matter the amount of inconvenience or harm to themselves.

People who can adapt to any challenge, whether difficult or unpredictable.

ngl though, I see a lot of people saying "entrepreneurs" and while I tend to have a baseline of respect for the risk-taking aspect, a lot of them are in for the wrong reasons. They think they can get rich quick and tell everyone they're successful CEO's, or that they can spend as much money as they like and just put it all onto a business account, or they get fed up with a particular job and think the only "way out" is to start a business, or they're bored/frustrated with life in general and hope the business will automatically grant them purpose, or they just want to tell their friends 24/7 about how they work harder and suffer more than everyone else. I respect the ones who acknowledge the inherit risk that comes with owning their own business and roll along with it, pouring their hearts first and foremost into making it work.

Explores and adventurers who live out there really doing cool stuff. Like polar explorers and such.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I admire people who see the world outside of the perspective they're sold throughout life. For me the person I admire more than anyone would be Noam Chomsky.... Dude completely sees the system for what it is and you can listen to his talks from the 80's and he legit predicted economic and social outcomes we are seeing today and explained concisely how and why they would come to be.

Day to day I admire people who have been through a lot of chit and keep a positive outlook and constantly work toward a higher standard of behavior and feelings especially with how they treat others.

Hunting show camera men. They could be filming anything, but they get up out of their tent at 2 am when its -20 degrees to hike to the other side of a mountain before the elk wakes up, just so someone else can get it. Miserably cold without the success.

"Uses Starbucks as an office" guy.

He shows up in a *******y work suite with a roll-away mini suitcase. He buys some expensive ass ******* hot drink they sell there and proceeds to set up a workstation where he spends the next couple hours using the wifi doing who fukin cares what on his apple computer.

I admire him for having the courage to do this in public.

I only truly admire the best of the best. If you don’t have a wiki page with at least 500 words then I couldn’t give less fuks 100% srs

For example, I don’t admire all doctors. I’ll admire a doctor who is recognized by his/her peers as being the best in their field. And that can basically be applied across the board. If you’re not top dawg then I ain’t mirin. If you’re recognized as being the best, then I’m mirin

Those that sacrifice their own comfort/happiness for the greater good.
There's some military officer out there right now, with a better education than you or me, living in miserable conditions trying to help this nation out, when he/she could be making way more money and sleeping at home instead.

People who are disciplined, kind, and down to earth.

My dentist for example. One of the smartest dudes I know, yet incredibly down to earth and able to relate with any of his patients. My dad, who came from very little and was constantly working to pay for his school and even his own clothes at a young age. Chair of my CS department, who sees the best in everyone and is always willing to go the extra mile to help them.

You can tell a lot about a person from how they treat those with less education/training/money than them.

I don't care about their character. I have a cousin who is pretty rich, and obnoxious, but it doesn't bother me at all. All I value is their wealth.

And people like Trump are heroes of mine.
