Did the right thing except hand the baby over to some randoms. Should have called the cops and let them deal with it. What if you had handed the baby to some ****s without knowing, would you be going down for assisting in murdering a baby? srs, could have gone very wrong.

Parents are complete morons and should be removed from the world.

Ok, so got to Tesco around 3pm, gf heard baby crying in parked car next to us, we both hung around a few mins wondering what to do, I said I'll get groceries and she can wait for chitty parents, I must have been at least 30 mins (can't be exact) came back out to around 7-10 people surrounding the car, gave it a few more minutes while I loaded up, baby was screaming and was bright red, struggling for breath as it was crying so hard, I smashed the driver's window with wrench, opened doors to baby, they older women got the baby out the car seat and held it first, maybe 2/3 mins went past and then I got in car and drove away......

There is no law in UK. It’s not even a law in all of the us. Only 19 states have it.

According to the Government's official website, there is no specific law against leaving your child unattended in a car and there is no legal age at which you can or cannot leave you child alone. However, it is an offence to leave your child alone if it places them at risk and you could be prosecuted.

Interesting. I knew there weren't a lot of clear cut laws on the age to leave your child at home alone in the states. Figured there would be more on the books about unattended in a car.

Fair enough. Cops can take a long ass time to respond around here, that would be my only hesitation with that route.

OP was in the store for 30 mins though. First thing he should have done is told security when he walked in. i wouldn't even call the cops until I sensed trouble. The store could have sent a message out to shoppers about a crying baby.
