How about instead of treating certain skills as the antitheses of the other, why not consider them complimentary?

E.g., to be a good leader, one has to appreciate the power of collaboration. Reparing and decorating can go hand-in-hand. Nothing wrong with learning to repair your own car to save money and learning to code as well.

I can fix a lot of different things. It has saved me a lot of money from having to pay a shop or repairman to charge me $$$$ just to troubleshoot it, $$$$$ for the new most expensive part that they get the biggest kickback on and $$$$$ per hour that will always take as long as possible. Instead, damn near everything, I can search the internet, figure out the problem, order a part at 1/4 the price "pros" will charge and install myself. But apparently I should learn how to code even though it has chit all to do with anything I do other than I use a computer.

WTF stinky, latte drinking, skinnyfat, limp wristed, neckbeard, soyboy came up with this crap??? And how wide open do you think it's mouth was when typing it out?
