Somehow I doubt Ronda Rousey slides a car key between her fingers when she is out. Women are weaker physically than men and SHOULD be more careful in bad neighborhoods or at night. The thing that they don't realize is that while men often don't take these precautions, they are in JUST as much danger as women in bad neighborhoods or at night. Men might avoid attack by not looking as weak to a potential attacker, but could just as easily be overpowered by someone with a weapon who wants to rob/harm them.
- The less well-lit an area, the worse a neighborhood, the less familiar you are, being alone, eliminating your senses (headphones, staring at your phone, etc) all increase your danger. You can choose to change any of these situations to lower your danger potential.
- Increasing strength (being a man give an edge here), learning to fight, carrying a weapon will all increase your survivability potential.
Just like insurance, you have to choose how much danger you are willing to risk and how much you think you are able to survive.

I would highly suggest carrying some good spray instead, or better yet getting a weapon and learn how to shoot and carry that instead.
I also would highly suggest any sloots on the misc to get into BJJ srs. Your local bjj academies may have women's self defense classes, and you can check one out to get a feel for the people there, then join the actual bjj classes srs. Women in BJJ are extremely friendly and helping to other women in bjj, so it will be awesome for you in many ways.

One of the biggest dudes on the misc and I’d bet everything I own I’ve been swung on/attacked without provocation more than anybody else on the misc because of my size. Whatever the hell that creature is in the picture has a point about preparedness but don’t use it to play victim to a hypothetical situation. The problem with borrowing trouble is that once you have the trouble you’ve been asking for you wish you hadn’t gone looking for it in the first place. It’s really sad that people have it so good that they have to dream up things to feel threatened about.

I don't understand the headphone thing. This isn't gender exclusive. I'm sure as hell not going to be wearing headphones while I'm walking alone at night, and I'm 6'2". That's just dumb.

She has a point. Imagine living in a world where the other sex (insert gender choices jokes here) is about 6" taller than you, twice as strong and commits something like 80% of the violent crime. I'd be nervous too.
It's pretty easy to say 'well we have to be nervous too', well yeah we do. But knowing you can handle yourself one on one, knowing you can probably take most drunk guys because they're drunk, if a couple of skinny teens start crap you've got a decent chance to knock them the fuk out...it makes it easier.
I'm not saying women have everything in life harder or that men are terrible or whatever like some ****gy feminist supporter type. Just that if you have a little bit of empathy about this, you can see why women get worried about being attacked.

A lot of attacks on women don't start off with the dude coming in with a knee or head kick though. Usually the ******* comes up and grabs them and tries to over power them into sex or an abduction. Also most *******s assaulting women aren't 230lb muscular dudes, they are usually unhealthy incel or drugcels.
Also see what I said above, like 1-2 years of bjj isn't going to let you easily beat a dude that has like 120 lbs on you as a girl, just stick with it though and by like 5+ years of BJJ a girl should have a pretty good chance against someone with no training no matter the weight advantage unless it's truly ridiculous and the sloot can't even wrap her legs or arms around the dudes legs.
For measure, there are purple belt girls (~5-6 years of training) that I witness submitting new dudes who are 220+ with relative ease multiple times in 5 minutes.
It's not a quick fix though, it definitely is something that takes time and dedication, I'm just saying it would be pretty smart for sloots, especially ones that can't carry to start now because it could help them in the future and would definitely make them feel safer in sketchy situations.

I’m guilty of wearing heels even if I’m alone. Then again I do CC, safety alarm, pocket knife, and taser ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And yes that is definitely one of the biggest concerns for most people with BJJ, getting hurt, especially if they have a pre-existing injury. It's hard to believe in martial arts, but the BJJ community is hands down the nicest and most helpful communities of any activity out there though, and 99% of the gyms I've been too everyone is super respectful in training and will alter how hard they train with who they are with. There are a decent amount of older women that train at my gym, some that came with preexisting injuries also, and they all are really enjoying it. It helps even more if you go to a gym that has a solid group of girls, because like I said in my other post the girls really go out of the way to help eachother, and often meet up a lot of extra times for female only drilling and rolling. I think you would like it srs, and I think your shoulder would be fine too.
I may be slightly biased but this is straight facts

Edit: Also Silencespeaks, you should do it too. You could probably meet a nice young alpha chad there srs. Everyone is so friendly and cool with eachother, it will make it easy for you to get close to them even if you're a female incel.

Wut. There’s like a rape or murder that happens on some jogging trail somewhere like every day. These are girls already in the process of running getting mogged. Nothing wrong with being protection minded but you better have a fanny pack with a piece in it and not some reeboks

Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2

And yes that is definitely one of the biggest concerns for most people with BJJ, getting hurt, especially if they have a pre-existing injury.
