Dunno why people are still surprised by this. It's been confirmed by studying our DNA that historically 80% of females reproduce and only 40% of males do. It's not a big stretch to realize that this sex gap would be exacerbated by modern hypergamy, and the banning of things like forced marriage and rape that used to be extremely common and enabled low tier males to cheat their genetics.

I haven't really sat down and read these studies, but they need to ask each gender (if they don't already):
1. What do you think is attractive in the opposite sex? and
2. What do you think the opposite sex is attracted to?

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a mismatch.

Men and women seem to communicate differently about sex and relationships, which make me think that women actually would find most men attractive or physically appealing, but things like how they dress or their hunting pictures (if they have them) turn them off. Even something like guys posting pictures of themselves shirtless seem to turn some of them off (or at least that is what they claim).

edit: they should probably also ask what their idea of "attractive" is. Guys might have a much more relaxed definition than women do.

No chit, it's Tinder. All that matters are your looks (or more accurately, your pics). I've know a few guys who do fine in real life but never got anything from Tinder. It's not the same thing.

Without them, women go to their base nature and most men won't pass on their genes; which in turn leads to them turning to hedonism to fill in the gap. Which is concerned with short term pleasure rather than long term investment (they don't have kids, why do they care what happens in the future?).

Not really, in the early middle age monks played a huge role in the economic development. They were also responsible of the renew of the law, development of logic and university and so on.

In truth, FA are like monster trucks for the development of the society since they can't chase pussy or have family you will find hard workers among them, they will invest their time in their carreer or intellectual activities and so on.

The only drawbacks I would say is that they will not invest as long as other person in society since there is no need to kill yourself at work for 30-40+ years if you can retire earlier. And even that is not true because you can still withdraw a bit but keep teaching in your field, doing research that are time consuming but that you would not have done for productivity reasons.

tl;dr : no hook-up/no family => lot of times that you need to invest to have a fullfilling life => hard working men in different fields => progress

at least that is how I understand the logic.
