Ah, the classic “demanding work life” BS excuse. I worked a chitty 9-5 sales intern job my sophomore year in college and made just as much gains then as I am now.

I) there’s nothing wrong with social media? Do you not have any friends or something?

III) welcome to the misc, you must be new here

Fuk, you sound like a triggered fat acceptance cultist. Fact of the matter is that as humans we all judge each other, it’s in our nature. If you deny that you don’t judge others as well then you’re either a) a liar or b) completely delusional.

Try raising kids, working two jobs and spending time with your wife/husband then finding 2 hours a day to get in the gym. Or budgeting for whey protein when you need to afford diapers and baby formula.

You finally graduated and got your new job so you thought you were hot **** comparing yourself to people who maybe weren't as fortunate as you. If you maintain this attitude toward people it will **** you in the end, it always does.

Yup. Only a handful of people seems to have "made it". Most chicks are fat or in an unhappy marriage or have a few kids. Guess that's their lot in life though. Most of the dudes are the type who think HS was the best time of their life.

Yeah brah you got me, I'm so triggered that I will never get back those 30 minutes of my life looking at ******** profiles nor get to talk to out of shape people from my high school that I couldn't care less about.

Your replies are exactly what I'd expect from someone that went downhill after high school. The only one coping here is you, I'm perfectly content with how my life has turned out.. hence why I'm not making any chitty justifications for my life like you and the other miscer 2 posts above you are: "those poor souls just have to work a job! It's impossible to get in shape with a job!"

lol just absolutely rofl at the guy that said some people focus on career instead of fitness after high school

Lmao those aren’t these people. You think OP is looking at pics of some investment banker or big time lawyer who puts in 100 hr weeks because of their career focus and let themselves gain weight due to the lifestyle? No, they are low wage workers who don’t give a damn about fitness and eat at Arby’s every day

Don’t give me this “some would rather focus energy elsewhere than working out”. You don’t need to be shredded with a six pack but you do need to be in shape. And anyone well rounded and successful generally is. OP is right he is better than those losers

If you only spent two minutes per profile, at 30 minutes you checked out 15 different people. 15 different people and yet you say:

Because why not? It was just mere curiosity. Had zero intentions for it, if they were all in-shape then I'd honestly be here praising them.

Sure, my expectations were that they wouldn't have gone uphill much - if at all - but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and at least hope that they didn't just let themselves go downhill.

I just think that’s a dishonest position. The expectation would be that as people age, they decline not improve physically. Look at all the “lost glow” and whatever stupid ass name was given to people losing their hair is threads that get posted.

So some people (I’m one of them) use their 24 hours to schedule training into their lives and others play video games, work and have kids, travel, etc. No one is better for either just different.

That's actually a false perception that most people fall victim to. Fatigue is usually just boredom, or the experience of negative sensations that makes you want to seek more pleasurable things to do. Just like when you go to visit your grandma, at the end of the day you're really out of it and itfeelslike you're tired, but immersing yourself in a different kind of activity is exactly what you need to rid yourself of the mental fatigue. Exercise in particular is very effective at normalizing your mental state, similar to meditation or a computer’s ‘reset’ button. You'll find once you start working out that you're not fatigued at all and will have a great workout, hence the study's confirmation that mental fatigue does not affect performance

Already mentioned earlier in this thread I've worked a 9-5 before with zero issues staying in shape. **** off with your excuses.

So no, my perceptions will not be changing. Sorry that your life sucks and that you let yourself get out of shape, maybe if you hit the gym a bit harder from here on out and drop some bodyfat you wont sound like such a bitter kunt

You can’t really help it if your balding op that’s a douchy thing to say.

Other then that yea a lot of them let themselves go but I actually have a lot of old friends from school that I still see around my gym every once I awhile.

Call it narcissistic if you want but yes, I am better (at least health-wise) than someone who is out of shape and doesn't care about their health. There is nothing more valuable in this life than your own health.

No, we cant control all of our outcomes and circumstances but our physical shape is 100% determined by our own choices.
