Fukkin LOL at how many people go downhill after high school

Was bored browsing through my fb friends list earlier and out of curiosity I checked out some people that I was acquaintances with from high school, plus some of the sloots that I used to think were hot and I was mind blown at the results.

I was not impressed by one person out of about 100 that I cared to look at, and all of the sloots that I thought were attractive in high school I would 100% srs not even be interested in if I were single. Not one even looked like they lifted at all. They’d either have pancakes or they ballooned up to 40% body fat.

Just about all of the guys that thought they were the chit had dad bods and/or were balding.

All of this happened within a span of only about 6-7 years.. absolutely pathetic how little people care and would rather just let themselves go than actually put in a bit of effort in order to not look like a walking pile of chit.

You crept through old classmates photos to feel better about yourself. Life has a way of humbling you.

you weren't one of the guys that thought he was the chit in HS?

were you a loser?

anyway you're in your mid 20's, just wait until you hit your early 30's like I just did, holy chit, looks just like that pic of Chris Evans (Capt. America) at his reunion.

bahahaha OP you mad you were a nerd in highschool and you'll never be 15 and in love
lying on the grass on a warm summer night, watching the stars, carelessly chatting
not worrying about rent, bills, student loans
only worry in life is how you're gonna cheat on that history test on monday
you'll never take a young, tight, hot-bodied girls virginity, pulling out to cum all over her back and have her look in your eyes and say "I love you"
you'll never have a girl around every day after school, pretend to be doing homework together, but instead just **** like rabbits
you're in your 20's now
gott get a good job
gotta be a serious man now
all the good ones are taken
maybe a nice girl will eventually settle with you
they have already felt all those new exciting feelings before, and are usually jaded and bitter
you missed what it feels like to have not a care in the world other than making your girl happy
you have missed out on teenage love

Wasn’t a loser by any means but wasn’t popular either.. just sort of in the middle. I never really hooked up with a girl until the end of my junior year so up until that point it wasn’t that great. I had a gf most of my senior year though so that’s when things started going uphill.

And yeah, I already have that feeling as of right now. Feels good being ahead of everyone from back then, and the tables have completely turned

That Chris Evan's summarizes it perfectly lol. This is why you shouldn't feel down or worship those highschool women, because it will all do a 180. I would say 2/3 of people start on a no-return bloat around 22-23. That's why if you keep fit you will stand out but people will also resent you because they don't want to put in the effort. As for balding, well you haven to understand OP that's out of a lot of people's control. Some people get hit hard even as early as their late teens.

This is typical though. A lot those people aren’t filled with the insecurities most of us are and feel the need to have abs at 30 plus. They’ve chosen to focus their lives and energy elsewhere. Yes, many are just lazy or whatever but tough to judge without knowing exactly what each went through.

Part of me certainly used my anger to get bigger and stronger due to some degree of insecurities but it is what it is!

OP, you focused entirely on aesthetics - lots of peoples' aesthetics slip when they start a very demanding full time (or more) job after college, so is your plan to wait for that and really get off on people losing their fitness physiques? Do you think they have time to stalk you on social media and care about your physique? Inb4 'yeah brah, one guy's wife is dming me because she loves my abs and wants to suck me off'.

Can you see how childish this thread reads? Ugh.

Of of course. If we had our 20 year reunion this past summer and I didn’t go but my sister did. I laughed because a girl I wanted to fuk in HS was there and I got a drunken voicemail at like 1:00am that night about why I didn’t come and she wanted to smash. Made me lol because of how fat I was in HS and what I look like now...also have all my hair and not gray so I guess that matters too.

Not everyone needs to achieve what op has, but let's be real tea. The vast majority of the population doesn't have a basic level of fitness.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

To be fair though, it's a balance the requires permanent lifestyle changes and discipline. It's so much easier to just not exercise, eat like sh*t etc and blame work/family. Unless you're lugging sulfur blocks on your back 14 hours a day for $15 you can squeeze three to four 30min workouts a week. Maybe walk to the shops if they are close, bike ride to places instead of taking the car out for 5min.

This whole sort of stigma of exercising that sloths give; making it out to be some "obsessive" all time consuming shallow endeavor is completely false. Just like saying eating health is expensive, when it's the complete opposite. There's really no excuse unless you truly suffer some ailment/disability.

Sadly media helps condone obesity and under-achieving. But the good news is if you can put in a bit of effort in your life/body/health you are going to stand out significantly from the rest as you age.

Well said, m8.

Interestingly enough studies are linking physical fitness to improved brain health and function, especially in the areas of memory and learning. It would behoove a working professional, skilled laborer, and any type of person using their head to get a job done, to remain physically fit.

We all know how it improves energy levels, too. A sedentary lifestyle really is a spiral into a lethargic brain and body. The popular stereotype of the obsessed idiot meathead is contrary to reality. A disciplined fitness enthusiast should fair much better over time not only physically but their mental faculties will not have diminished by as much as their sedentary counterparts.
